‘Younger’ Cast’s Real-Life Romances: The Love Lives of Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff & More
The beloved show Younger was filled with love triangles and scandalous romances. In real life, the show’s main stars are all in relationships — some of which have endured the test of time, and others that are newly forming.
Younger aired for seven seasons from 2015 to 2021 and featured big names like Sutton Foster, Hilary Duff, Peter Hermann, and more in starring roles. The show is now climbing the Netflix charts. Foster played a 40-year-old woman who posed as a 20-something in a fight against ageism in the publishing industry.

Hilary Duff
Duff met her now-husband, Matthew Koma, when they collaborated on her music in 2015. They went public with their relationship in 2017, and after a brief breakup, got married in December 2019. They have three daughters together: Banks, Mae, and Townes.
The actress also has a son with ex-husband Mike Comrie, whom she married in 2010. They split in 2014, and their divorce was finalized in February 2016.
As a teenager, Duff dated Aaron Carter and was famously involved in a love triangle with the heartthrob and Lindsay Lohan. When she was just 16, she started dating a then-25-year-old Joel Madden in 2004. They were together for two years before breaking up.
Between her two marriages, Duff was also in a relationship with Jason Walsh.
Sutton Foster
Foster and Hugh Jackman confirmed their relationship with PDA photos in January 2025. However, they were first linked months earlier following their run as costars in The Music Man on Broadway (the show ran from December 2021 until January 2023).
The actress’ first husband was Christian Borle, whom she met in college. They were married from 2006 to 2009 and remain friends. She then wed Ted Griffin in 2014 and adopted a daughter with him, but filed for divorce in October 2024 — right around the time reports started going viral about her relationship with Jackman.
Debi Mazar
Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos got married in 2002 and have two daughters together. Their wedding was officiated by Ellen Burstyn. In the 1990s, Mazar dated Paul Reubens.
Miriam Shor
Miriam Shor was skeptical about love on Younger, but in real life, she’s been married to Justin Hagan since 2009. They have two daughters.
Nico Tortorella
Nico Tortorella and Bethany C. Meyers got married in March 2018 and have two children. The pair is in a polyamorous relationship, which means they have the freedom to date other people.
“I’ve been in a polyamorous relationship for almost 12 years, but my partner, Nico, and I didn’t always call it that,” Meyers explained in 2018. “In fact, we adopted the ‘poly’ label more as a way to help others understand our relationship, but we just view each other as partners.”
She added, “In monogamy, there’s often this fear of ‘But what if they leave me?’ With polyamory, that fear is gone because no one needs to cheat or lie, and we’ve built this place of trust where we can really talk about what’s working and what’s not working. And that feels like a better place for me. Being poly allows us to be authentic and explore what makes us happy in our lives in a way I didn’t feel like I could in monogamous relationships.”
Peter Hermann
Relationship goals! Hermann met Mariska Hargitay when he was cast in a recurring role on her show Law & Order: SVU in 2002. They tied the knot in 2004 and have three children (two are adopted).
Molly Bernard
Molly Bernard and girlfriend Hannah Lieberman got engaged in 2020 and tied the knot in September 2021. Bernard gave birth to their daughter in January 2023.
Jennifer Westfeldt
Jennifer Westfeldt appeared in 13 episodes of Younger in a recurring role. Prior to joining the show in 2017, she was in an 18-year relationship with Jon Hamm from 1997 to 2015.
“I had a lot of shifts in my life. A lot of rearranging of priorities,” Hamm later told Esquire of the split. “I don’t think it was conscious, but it was necessary. It was tricky, and the dust is still settling in many ways.”
Laura Benanti
Laura Benanti married her husband, Patrick Brown, in 2015. They welcomed their first daughter in 2017, followed by a second daughter via surrogate in 2022.
The Broadway star was previously married two other times. She wed Chris Barron in 2005, but they were married for less than a year before separating. Benanti and Steven Pasquale tied the knot in 2007 and divorced in 2013.
Charles Michael Davis has been dating Australian actress Jenna Rosenow since 2023. He previously dated Katrina Amato.
