After a two-year wait, The Last of Us Season 2 is finally here. The next chapter of the Emmy-winning HBO series, based on the hit video game, will premiere on April 13.
While we’re ready (and a little scared) to see what will happen to Ellie (Bella Ramsey), Joel (Pedro Pascal), and the remaining survivors in the show’s post-apocalyptic world, we’re also curious about their personal lives. Many cast members have been married for years, but others prefer to keep their romantic lives out of the spotlight. Bella Ramsey
Bella Ramsey is no longer single. They have found love with My Old Ass star Maisy Stella.
While they haven’t publicly confirmed the status of their relationship, the two have made it clear they’re dating on their many outings. While talking to Vogue UK, Ramsey admitted that they are currently seeing someone. Relating their own personal journey with their character in The Last of Us, Ramsey said that they are “properly in love” for the first time. “Experiencing that while I was filming the show was really special,” the actor said.
Pedro Pascal
Stepping out for dinner in Los Angeles with Jennifer Aniston caused quite the stir. Many fans exclaimed that they were romantically linked, but the two set the record straight that they are just friends.
The actor has not been in a public relationship throughout his career. When discussing the loss his Last of Us character, Joel, has experienced, Pascal told Wired, “I avoid all of it by not having kids. And staying out of relationships.”
Catherine O'Hara
Catherine O’Hara, who joins Season 2 as Gail, has none other than Tim Burton to thank for finding the love of her life, Bo Welch. The couple met on the set of the iconic movie Beetlejuice. O’Hara played the role of Delia Deetz, while Welch was a production designer on the set of a gothic horror comedy.
Since then, the two have continued to collaborate together. After moving to Los Angeles to be with him, the couple tied the knot in 1992. They share two sons, Matthew and Luke.
Gabriel Luna
Romance is the name of the game for Gabriel and Smaranda Luna. The couple made things official in 2011. Thinking back on their love story on their anniversary, Smaranda recalled, “I met Gabe at work in the THEATER (for us, all the world IS a stage 🧀:) 16 years ago, we’ve been together ever since, and here are some pics of us still at WORK 16 years later. Today is our 14-year Wedding Anniversary 💒!!! Our marriage is a teenager 🙏🏼 !!!”
The Lunas only have loving words to say about one another. “Every morning I wake up next to you is the greatest moment in my life,” Gabriel captioned an Instagram photo that included his wife. Luna returns to The Last of Us as Tommy, Joel’s brother.
Rutina Wesley
Rutina Wesley, who plays Maria, was previously engaged to Chef Shonda in 2017, but it’s unclear what their relationship status is today. Wesley has deleted the Instagram post announcing her engagement. However, Wesley and Chef Shonda celebrated Mardi Gras together in March 2025. Wesley was previously married to Jacob Fishel from 2005 to 2013.
Kaitlyn Dever
Kaitlyn Dever, who plays Abby in Season 2, is not one to share much about her personal life, but in 2025, she has started to open up. The 28-year-old revealed her boyfriend, Ethan Dawes, to the world. The two stepped out for a fun date night at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on March 2.
This comes three months after they were first spotted together outside the iconic Chateau Marmont for an industry dinner. It’s unclear how long they’ve been together as neither one of them has spoken publicly about their relationship.
Dawes is also part of the entertainment world, although he’s behind the scenes. He has directed several episodes of Chicken Girls.
Isabela Merced
Not much is known about Isabela Merced‘s current relationship status. Many fans assume the Madame Web star is single as she has previously not shied away from sharing photos with her significant others. Merced joins the hit HBO series as Dina, Ellie’s love interest.
Joe Pantoliano
Joe Pantoliano, who plays Eugene in Season 2, and Nancy Sheppard tied the knot in 1994 and are still happily married today. Sheppard often accompanies her husband to work events. They have four kids together. Pantoliano was previously married to Morgan Kester from 1979 to 1985.
Jeffrey Wright
Jeffrey Wright was married to fellow actor Carmen Ejogo from 2000 to 2014. Wright hasn’t remarried, and it’s also a mystery whether or not he is currently dating anyone. Wright has put his focus on his professional endeavors. Wright plays Isaac Dixon, the role he originated in The Last of Us video game.
Young Mazino
Ever since his breakout performance in Beef, Young Mazino has had audiences wondering about his personal life. As of now, not much is known. He appears to be single! The actor plays Jesse in Season 2.
Spencer Lord
Spencer Lord, who plays Owen, and partner Jamie MacKenzie aren’t afraid to show each other off! The couple often shares snapshot of their life together on social media.
