By now, everyone has heard the news that The Bachelorette will be taking a hiatus during its regular slot in the summer of 2025. The long-running show is expected to return in the future, but Bachelor Nation fans don’t know when that will be just yet.
Even though Season 22 won’t premiere this year, there’s already a great batch of contenders from Grant Ellis‘ stint on The Bachelor. Could one of these ladies end up as the lead? Maybe one of them will be brought back in 2026 or whenever the show returns. (Or they could end up on Bachelor in Paradise.)
Since we’re already missing The Bachelorette, here are seven women who would be a great fit as the next lead. Who do you think should be the next star of The Bachelorette? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Bailey
Bailey Taylor Brown knows how to capture the moment. With plenty of photo opportunities, the selfie-loving influencer was always a joy to have on screen.
Whether it’s her affectionate personality or her prop jokes (yes, I am talking about the wig), she knows how to stand out in a crowd. Isn’t that exactly what you want from a leading lady?
Having been sent home as early as Week 3 just wasn’t fair — we, the viewers, wanted more of her. There’s only one final request: If she would ever return to the Bachelor Nation universe, her toy poodle, Easa, needs to join her.

Carolina
Okay, I’ll come right out and say it, Carolina Sofía isn’t the villain you all are making her out to be.
Sure, she seems to annoy the other ladies, but that might just be because she has gotten so much of Grant’s attention. Never afraid to say exactly what’s on her mind, Carolina has the energy a lead needs. The Puerto Rican native would bring a change of personality to the world of leads, but maybe that’s exactly what the franchise needs.

Alexe
With the looks and personality of a Disney princess, Alexe Godin is basically a shoo-in for The Bachelorette position.
In touch with her emotions, she also knows not to step on anyone’s toes. I am sure that would make all of her fellow contestants happy for her trajectory.
Receiving the first impression rose, Alexe was one of the ladies the audience got to know first, and, boy, what a pleasure she’s been so far. Alexe, if you don’t win Grant’s heart and become the lead, can you bring Linda the llama back again?

Beverly
Beverly Ortega deserves a Joan Vassos comeback. Having to depart The Bachelor the same week she was going to get a one-on-one because of appendicitis, she just needs another shot at a Bachelor Nation love story. She is doing much better these days, so give her another go at love!

Ella
Rose Sombke might’ve coined the term “you did me dirty,” but honestly, that’s what Ella Del Rosario should’ve said to Grant. After giving him a heartfelt letter at the cocktail party, the lead quickly asked if he could keep it. Ella happily said “yes,” but was then thrust into a different set of emotions — disappointment and sadness — when he eliminated her during Week 2. That’s enough of a reason in my book to give her an important slot in the franchise.

Chloie
The fan-favorite model from New York was eliminated way earlier than the audience wanted. Chloie Costello felt her elimination was due to not having enough time with Grant amid the Carolina-Rose drama.
Whatever the reason might be, the Kansas girl’s girl was definitely a positive force of energy this season and would bring that vibrant personality back as the lead.

Litia
Litia Garr made an immediate connection with Grant through her kindness, effervescent personality, and beauty.
Yet, she was also not afraid to tell him exactly how she felt when something he said rubbed her the wrong way. That’s the kind of lead The Bachelorette needs. Would she be able to call out the sweet talkers and those who aren’t there for the right reasons? Absolutely. If she’s not Grant’s final choice, ABC needs to not let Litia slip away
