9 ‘Sex and the City’ Love Interests Who Need to Return to ‘And Just Like That’
And Just Like That viewers are caught up on Big (Chris Noth) and Aidan (John Corbett) thanks to their appearances on the Sex and the City spinoff, but there are plenty of Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) former boyfriends who we haven’t seen in more than 20 years.
Carrie, Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Samantha (Kim Cattrall) had their fair share of exes over the course of SATC‘s run. Like Big and Aidan, Charlotte’s husband, Harry (Evan Handler), and Miranda’s ex-husband, Steve (David Eigenberg), have been on AJLT, but both ladies also have many other elusive past lovers. Meanwhile, Samantha may not be part of AJLT (aside from her brief Season 2 cameo), but there are some men from her life who we could use an update on!

And Just Like That, Season 3, 2025, Max
Jack Berger
Although Berger (Ron Livingston) was only in eight episodes of Sex and The City, he’s one of Carrie’s most memorable exes because of how he broke up with her via a Post-it note. The two never saw each other again, and even though she clearly moved on, a years-later reunion could probably provide some closure.
Smith Jerrod
Samantha may not be part ofAnd Just Like That, but it doesn’t mean her ex Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis) can’t pop up. After all, he was around for quite a while, and he and Samantha ended on good terms, so it wouldn’t be unlikely for him to catch up with her pals. We could use an update!
Trey MacDougal
Trey (Kyle MacLachlan) and Charlotte were not meant to be, and she’s happily moved on and created a family with Harry. But years removed from the Trey divorce, it’d be interesting to see what would happen if the two crossed paths again.
Dr. Robert Leeds
Miranda dated New York Knicks team doctor Robert Leeds (Blair Underwood) in Season 6, and he seemed pretty much perfect. However, her love for Steve kept the relationship from progressing. With Miranda in a much different place during the And Just Like That era, it’d be fun to see her catch up with the good doctor.
Bill Kelley
Who could forget Carrie’s politician boyfriend Bill Kelley (John Slattery), who wanted her to pee on him during sex, in Season 3? It was a short-lived romance, but Slattery himself said he’d be down to reprise the role in AJLT. “In a hot second,” he told Entertainment Tonight in 2023.
Richard Wright
Richard (James Remar) was another one of Samantha’s love interests. They both weren’t used to being in monogamous relationships, which is why it wasn’t much of a surprise when he cheated on her. Even without Samantha in the picture on AJLT, Richard would be a fun cameo!
Aleksandr Petrovsky
I’d be fine without Aleksandr Petrovsky (Mikhail Baryshnikov) popping up on the spinoff, but Carrie nearly married the guy, so seeing them interact again would certainly be interesting.
Sean
Carrie briefly dated Sean (Eddie Cahill) but wasn’t able to handle the fact that he was bisexual. Considering a big theme of AJLT has been the women learning to become more open-minded, Sean would be the perfect character for Carrie to reconnect with.
Stephan
Charlotte dumped Stephan (Dan Futterman) because he was too metrosexual for her liking. Well, see above!
