Let’s just be fully transparent, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, has some serious rizz. It’s an undeniable fact about the man who works as a lawyer by day and vigilante by night, most recently in Disney+‘s Daredevil: Born Again.
But what makes Matt Murdock one of the MCU’s best bachelors? Quite a bit, actually. Whether it’s his affinity for doing good in his community or having some super smooth skills, the sky’s the limit for this street-level hero whose blindness only serves to enhance his abilities.
Below, we’re breaking down seven reasons why Matt Murdock is among the MCU’s best and most eligible bachelor. Scroll down for a closer peek and let us know if you agree in the comments section below.

He Knows How to Dress
Despite Mr. Murdock’s visual limitations, he never has a hair out of place or a suit out of color coordination when he’s dressed for court and lawyering. Paired with his red-tinted glasses, and we’ve got a fashion icon in the making here. But all joking aside, this crime-fighter has a dapper side we can’t help but admire.

He Cooks
When he’s not kicking butt in the streets of New York City or defending clients in court, you might find Matt Murdock cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Across Netflix’s former iteration of Daredevil and the more recent Daredevil: Born Again, his skills are on display. Adding to the impressive nature of his culinary talent is cooking in the dark.

He's Charming
C’mon, look at that smile. Even without words, it’s hard not to be charmed by Matt Murdock. Whether it’s bargaining for his clients with court clerks or flirting with Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, it’s kind of a losing battle to resist his seemingly effortless charms. Additionally, he’s not intimidated by a strong woman. What’s not to love?
He's Kinda Sad
Okay, this one might seem like a bad thing, but that gives Matt Murdock that “I can fix him” quality that really just draws in admirers. First, it was Claire (Rosario Dawson) on Daredevil who took on the task, and more recently, his entanglement with therapist Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva) following the death of his pal Foggy (Elden Henson) continues to track with this trend. As a viewer, we can’t say we hate it; after all, Matt Murdock’s ever-looming Catholic guilt is woven into the fabric of his character.

He's Not a Killer
In the world of the MCU, there are plenty of “heroes” who do their best to protect lives, but sometimes there’s collateral, or intentional killing to protect others. Matt Murdock’s principles won’t allow him to cross that line, though, and we can’t help but admire his commitment. While he isn’t immune to slip-ups, as he intended to kill Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) when he pushed Foggy’s shooter from the roof of Josie’s in Daredevil: Born Again‘s premiere, the results weren’t fatal.

He's Got Super-Heightened Senses
Because Matt Murdock is blind, his other senses have an advantage with hearing so acute that he can determine whether someone is lying to him or not. While some people may not see that as a bonus, he can definitely tell when danger is near and understands if he needs to give someone space. Not a bad quality in our book.

He's Got Job Security
Let’s be honest, in this current economy, job security is everything, and Matt Murdock’s always going to find work as a lawyer. Whether he’s crime-fighting or not, the vigilante’s courtroom antics are definitely working in his favor.
