‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Relationship Updates: Who Got Married & Who Didn’t

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for Episodes 1-13 of Love Is Blind Season 8.]
Happy fifth anniversary to Love Is Blind! The Season 8 contestants hailed from Minneapolis, and in a wild turn of events, the first six episodes took place entirely in the pods. The contestants went deep this time around, tackling topics like addiction, grief, queer rights, abortion, and Black Lives Matter in those neon-lit cubicles.
Five couples left the pods engaged. Unlike the Season 7 situation where more than half of them crashed and burned before the wedding, most of the couples actually made it to the altar. Only one duo stopped the experiment before the impending nuptials. However, that didn’t mean everyone would say “I do.” Wondering who actually left the show as a married couple?
The wait is over! It’s time to discover who got married in Season 8 of Love Is Blind. Four couples made it to the altar, but not everyone left it as a wedded couple. Let’s dig in.

Sara and Ben
Status: Split
Sara and Ben hit it off with convos ranging from air fryers (essential) to politics (LGBTQIA+ rights and Black Lives Matter). It was refreshing to see these topics actually get discussed before an engagement—but also concerning when Sara noticed Ben just… didn’t react to them? His silence spoke volumes.
Ben eventually reassured her that his values and faith align with hers and that he’s willing to educate himself (and do the work on his own, not expect her to teach him—small wins).
Ben asked Sara to be his girlfriend first (adorable), and a few days later, he proposed. Their first meeting was one of the cutest—full-on sprinting into each other’s arms.
While the internet was not impressed with Sara and Ben’s differing political interests, the two were getting along well as they joined the other couples in Honduras. The pair frequently laughed and joked together, and Ben’s portable box fan wasn’t enough to give Sara the ick—unlike us.
Back home, they met each other’s friends and families. Ben’s friends accurately pointed out that the whole “love is blind” thing was hilarious since they’re both “so hot!” The group seemed welcoming of Sara, shared her LGBTQ ideals, and discussed their experiences with Ben’s faith.
The only hiccup came in the form of a viral TikTok, in which a creator discussed one of the male participants of Love Is Blind. Ben admitted that the video was about him but claimed he barely remembered this woman, and most of what she was saying was fiction. Sara seemed uneasy but agreed to give Ben the benefit of the doubt…for now.
Yet, things didn’t necessarily get better from there. As he met Sara’s sister, Lisa, and her partner, the awkwardness was clear. Ultimately, it wasn’t the worst meetup of the season, and probably one of the better ones of the franchise, but that wasn’t where the uneasiness stopped.
Sara joined Ben at a church service and looked visibly upset. When Sara divulged that she didn’t exactly get the answers she wanted during her confessional, some bigger problems came to light.
Sara and Ben’s wedding ceremony was the only one to be shown at the end of Episode 11, but it stopped right before they gave their answers at the altar. Sara was asked first.
Sara tearfully explained that she couldn’t go through with it, as she needed someone who was on the “same wavelength” as her and that just wasn’t Ben. They disagreed on many of the values she holds close to her heart. In a painful moment, Ben suggested they keep dating, and Sara shot it down with a brutal “we’ll see” —which garnered a chuckle from the guests.
Explaining her decision, Sara told viewers and her family that she doesn’t think they should date as it would just “continue the cycle of hoping and wanting something to work when it’s clear it’s not a good fit.” She very wisely concluded that “you can not date someone for their potential,” as they may never reach it.
Ben remained smiling throughout and took a moment to pray for him and Sara with his friends. We don’t expect a reconciliation between these two, but also no bad blood.

Monica and Joey
Status: Split
The first couple to get engaged in the pods, it was hard not to ship these two goofy kids. These two bonded over their shared sense of humor and The Sound of Music (a niche but adorable connection). Neither really connected with anyone else in the pods—they had their sights set on each other from day one. Joey Leveille described himself as having “golden retriever energy” (can confirm), while Monica Danús just wanted a guy who wouldn’t dump her after she spent spring break cat-sitting for him. Yeah, that happened.
Joey gave us a little red flag moment when he admitted that his personality is usually “too much” for women. But when these two met IRL? Pure magic. Squealing, hugging, and Monica immediately comparing him to Tarzan (we know what’s happening in that five-star resort). Joey, for his part, just called it the “best first kiss” of his life.
They encountered a challenge when Joey met Monica’s family for the first time. Despite a group jam session, Monica’s sister was not sold on Joey and told her, “I can see him being a really good actor. He knows what people want to hear.” Monica defended Joey, but her sister stood firm on the matter. Joey seemed to sense this disapproval from her, and it caused tension between the pair as he confronted her while they were folding laundry. They needed more family bonding time before the big day.
Luckily, that’s exactly what they did! Monica’s sister captured the loving item through the lens of her camera and realized Joey was exactly the type of guy he said he was. Finally giving her approval, things were going well! She did, however, mention that Monica and she are “nappers,” something she can’t envision Joey to be.
Joey arrived at their wedding day on a longboard and seemed as energetic as ever. He cheerfully discussed the impending wedding with his gaggle of bros, while Monica got ready with her sister and besties. Monica told them, “I’m holding back because I haven’t gotten 100% from him,” and seemed a little hesitant about Joey’s lack of emotions compared to her.
She seemed to get more nervous as things progressed and panicked at the altar about where to put her flowers. Then it was time for her to answer, and she clearly hesitated before saying, “I don’t right now.” Joey took it well, and the pair exited together to a standing ovation and applause.
In a confessional to viewers, Joey explained that their biggest issues seemed to be Monica’s sister disapproving of him and a lack of physical affection on his part. He clarified that he isn’t keen on just dating now, despite Monica’s suggestion, as he is ready for marriage.

Virginia and Devin
Status: Split
What was it with all the love triangles this season? We honestly have whiplash by the end of it.
Virginia Miller and Devin Buckley clicked instantly, especially after realizing they went to the same high school (five years apart). Devin opened up about his past struggles with painkiller addiction after a sports injury—something that shaped his faith and life.
But there was another woman in the mix: Brittany Dodson. Devin struggled to choose between them, but Brittany mentioning she had dated women before seemed to change the vibe. Not a great look, Devin. In the end, he chose Virginia, showering her with gifts and a handwritten letter before proposing.
Their first meeting? A little awkward—lots of nervous talking and rehashing shared connections. Virginia and Devin went to Honduras on an upward trajectory. Virginia told Devin that she’s now his “best friend” and described their relationship in one word as “easy.” The two met a mild hiccup when Virginia explained she would want a prenup, as she considered it a very standard thing nowadays. Devin was taken aback but understood her reasoning, although his family appeared less keen, seeing this as a sign that Virginia expects a divorce.
The two had a few more issues in the third installment. Talking about politics, Devin admitted to not being very “involved” but that didn’t stop Virginia from talking about it.
In an awkward display of bed talk (yes, they were in their room), the two discussed how their faith intertwines with their view on politics. Virginia opened up that her family typically votes Democrat, while Devin’s are rather Republican. Throughout this debate, they also had a conversation about reproductive rights.
On her wedding day, Virginia seemed reserved but positive, seeing the multiple ladybugs she’d rescued that day as a sign. This positivity quickly faded at the altar, when Virginia started crying and quietly said, “I love you so much, but I’m just not ready.” Devin seemed surprised and started crying as well.
Virginia explained her decision to viewers, saying that there were too many “topics he didn’t want to talk about, like politics” and “even our sexual relationship we didn’t get to.” She believed their differences in politics didn’t need to be a “dealbreaker,” but that the discussion around them made it so.
Devin was open to dating Virginia to see where things go, but Virginia seemed certain that they weren’t the right match.

Taylor and Daniel
Status: Married
Daniel came in ready to declare it “short king season” (his words), proudly standing at 5’8”. He knew a woman who demands 6’0” wasn’t for him—so, naturally, he went on Love Is Blind. (Make it make sense.) His reason? His blind sister inspired him—she falls in love without seeing first. BRB, crying.
Taylor, a colonoscopy nurse, wasted no time mentioning rectal bleeding on their first date (respect). But then, disaster struck: She lost her voice. And in the pods, your voice is everything. Still, Daniel was into it, and their bond grew. Taylor admitted she overthinks relationships and just wants to feel secure. Daniel reassured her he’d always be there to offer clarity.
The pair bonded over being Christmas fanatics and her fondness for Taco Bell. Daniel promised to get a matching lip tattoo of his favorite fast food joint—we’re waiting! We even won’t hold Taylor’s love of Hawaiian pizza against her (but Italians definitely will).
They got engaged, and Taylor rocked a green velvet gown straight out of a Disney movie for their first meeting. The pair greeted one another with a loud “Hello!” before hurrying over for some prolonged hugs. Daniel called Taylor “the most beautiful girl” he’s ever seen.
Cut to Taylor crying. She couldn’t stop thinking that he looked familiar and realized Daniel had followed her on Instagram a month before the show. She felt this ruined the purpose of the show and had given Daniel many clues to get to know her better.
Taylor sat Daniel down to discuss the Instagram situation, and he understandably looked nervous. He denied following her, but he also opened the possibility that it happened and that he doesn’t remember. Taylor revealed that she can check with a follower app she has (we hadn’t realized people still use those as adults). The producers graciously provided her phone, and Taylor checked but didn’t find Daniel’s handle. The two decided to move past it together.
The pair joined the others in Honduras, and Taylor repeatedly apologized for the moment of paranoia. At the group mixer, Daniel told Sara that he would have been a “scumbag” if he had known what Taylor looked like and that the experience has only made them “stronger” as a couple.
In Episode 9, the pair met each other’s parents and brought them all together for an introduction. Taylor’s mom, Connie, was initially hesitant about the entire arrangement, but everyone soon relaxed and got along well.
The two have a sweet holiday-themed photoshoot. Already making their very first Christmas card together, they decided to distribute them at their wedding as a thank you gift.
On their wedding day, both Taylor and Daniel read letters that they had written for one another. We couldn’t help but notice the forest-green colors of bridesmaid dresses, which seemed like a reference to Taylor’s pod reveal dress! But the true star of the show was Daniel’s sister, who played piano and sang “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
Taylor went first and told Daniel, “My soul has known your soul for a lifetime” and said, “I do.” Daniel seemed like he could barely wait to say the words and told Taylor, “Absolutely. I do.” Taylor and Daniel were the only couple that actually got married in Love Is Blind Season 8. They celebrated with friends and family but revealed that they couldn’t wait to finally consummate the marriage.

Lauren and David
Status: Split
For some inexplicable reason, David Bettenburg thought it was a good idea to go into his first dates and ask what was wrong with them. In his first interaction with Lauren O’Brien, he even made a joke about her age, which appears to have worked in his favor. The two discussed their tattoos, visions for the future, and parenting styles.
But while Lauren was all-in on Dave, he was still seriously dating Molly Mullaney, which caused issues for Lauren. Eventually, Dave decided to end things with Molly and was slightly disappointed by her nonchalant reaction. She explained calmly, “If someone’s not choosing me, they’re not my person.” Can someone cast her in a reboot of He’s Just Not That Into You?!
Dave and Lauren got engaged soon after, and the two had a lovely first meeting—complete with Lauren inadvertently sharing her lip gloss.
Things quickly went downhill from there, with the biggest catalyst being the discovery that Lauren dated someone before going into the pods, someone Dave’s friends all know. This guy started claiming it was more than it was in an attempt to gain his 15 minutes of fame, and Dave’s friends disapproved of Lauren as a result.
Lauren tearfully defended herself multiple times, but Dave was distant emotionally and physically, to the extent that his fiancée was almost interrogating him about his whereabouts.
After meeting Lauren’s parents, her mom in front of cameras and her dad off-screen, the duo continued to struggle. Then, after meeting up for another date night, the couple decided to break up once and for all.
A day later at the group get-together, Dave seemingly tried to patch it up with Lauren, but the two remain separated. Molly was fully on Lauren’s side and made sure Dave knew.
