‘Golden Bachelor’ & ‘Golden Bachelorette’ Relationships: All the Real and Rumored Romances
The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette have swept everyone away in the Bachelor Nation fanbase. Seeing the elderly ladies and gentlemen have a renewed chance of romance has been less about the drama and more about the idea of everlasting love.
After Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist failed to make their marriage work, many were bummed out. Luckily, Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple are still going strong — and it appears they’re not the only ones.
Some of the contestants from both spinoffs have found their way to each other to start a cuteness extravaganza. The golden era daters prove that even at their age, sometimes it’s good to have fun.

Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple
The first season of The Golden Bachelorette was a success. Vassos found the man of her dreams in Chapple. The Kansas insurance executive knew what he wanted and was affectionate with Vassos from the get-go.
Flying back and forth between Maryland and Kansas, the couple is looking for a place to call their own in New York City for getaways. To prove that they really are the real deal, the twosome even spent the holidays together in 2024. Could another Golden Wedding be on the horizon? They’re not ruling it out!
Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist
What seemed to be a match made in heaven sizzled out quickly. Getting engaged and walking down the aisle in rapid fire, it appeared that Turner and Nist wanted to make the most out of their golden days together. Alas, they weren’t meant to be and chose to go their separate ways.
Just hitting the 100-day mark before announcing their split, their honeymoon phase didn’t last for long. The couple couldn’t come to an agreement on where to settle down. They tried to look for houses in Charleston and never picked an actual one to move into. Since then, both have alluded that there were more issues than their varying opinions on where to live.
Sandra Mason and Charles King
If you ever thought sliding into the DMs was a flirting tactic only younger people took part in, then you’re sorely mistaken. Because that’s exactly what Charles King did with The Golden Bachelor’s Sandra Mason.
Originally meeting at The Golden Bachelorette: Men Tell All special, sparks flew between these two lovebirds, and they have been in contact ever since. Meeting up to go on a date in Los Angeles, Mason and King both documented their time together. On January 17, the father of five revealed to the Bachelor Nation website, “Sandra and I spent some time together right around New Year’s Eve. We had a really, really great time together.” He added, “The vibe was amazing. Sandra is an incredible woman.” Not able to stop gushing about her, King said that she has “elegant charm and straightforwardness,” as well as being, “classy,” “fun” and “funny.”
Mason, on her end, shared a Reel about their time together on Instagram and captioned it, “I’m just gonna leave THIS right HERE for y’all…
🌹+🌹 😊.”
Susan Noles and Jack Lencioni
When rumors about Susan Noles and Jack Lencioni were spread around the internet, Noles was quick to share her side of the story.
Talking about the supposed connection on her and Kathy Swarts’ podcast Golden Hour, the 67-year-old began by stating Lencioni’s attributes, “He’s [Jack Lencioni] a great guy. I could see us cooking together, laughing together.” Yet, afterward, she admitted, “But the chemistry wasn’t there.”
The two Bachelor Nation favorites were seen sitting together at Vassos’ After the Final Rose ceremony, which seemed like a potential sign of romance at the time. Noles, however, disproved this as she said, “You need to have chemistry. You can’t force it. He seems like a great guy. He was fun. He wasn’t my guy. I consider him my friend.”
Leslie Fhima and Jordan Heller
The award for the most confusing potential couple in this post goes to Leslie Fhima and Jordan Heller. The midwesterners have been confusing fans of the franchise about whether they are dating or not since they were first seen together.
A selfie with Fhima leaping into Heller’s arms at a Los Angeles Football Club game went viral, and the two have been intertwined in each other’s lives ever since. From attending a concert in Chicago together to divulging that they are in constant contact, these two are as cryptic as they come.
While Heller has confessed that they are “just friends” to the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Fhima has been a bit more ambiguous. “We’re just friends right now,” she said on the BachMakers podcast before continuing, “Who knows what is going to happen?” So, what do you think has happened with them?
Kathy Swarts and Keith Gordon
In more recent news, Kathy Swarts and Keith Gordon are potentially in the midst of a romantic adventure as of late. Although they are adamant that they are “just friends.”
During an appearance on the Almost Famous podcast in January 2025, both Swarts and Gordon arrived late. This prompted host Bob Guiney to hint that there might be something going on between the two. Yet, the “girl dad” was quick to set the record straight when he said, “Kathy and I are new best friends. Come on.”
This was, however, not the end of the teasing. Between Vassos’ remark that Swarts was “speechless” and Guiney’s joking ways to point out that her “lipstick does seem smudged,” the Golden Bachelor contestant gave an even more confusing reply. She told them, “Let’s just say they say follow your man. Never follow anyone when they say follow me on the 10th green because you end up in the bushes backtracking to find the path back.”
Yet, she quickly quipped, “Get your minds out of the gutter,” before adding, “It’s called friendship.” With Chapple also commenting on their “chemistry” and bringing up that a kiss might have occurred, Swarts stressed, “I cannot tell a lie. Keith and I are just friends. I would love to start a rumor.”
