Ghosts continues to deliver laughs in its ongoing fourth season, and another aspect that fans have come to rely on is there will always be romantic moments amidst the humor.

Whether the bonds between the couples are super serious or just mutually beneficial, there are plenty of pairings for fans to enjoy. But how do they stack up against one another? We’re taking a look at five memorable couples from the series and ranking them based on strength as a duo. Among the pairs to be analyzed are “livings” Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) as well as spirits Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) and Nigel (John Hartman).

See where they all stack up in the ranking, below, and let us know your favorite couples from Ghosts in the comments section, below.

Ghosts, Thursdays, 8:30/7:30c, CBS

5. Jessica & Sasappis

When it comes to being a spirit, one of the drawbacks is they’re impeded by the ghost boundary limiting the space they can occupy. So, when car ghost Jessica (Nichole Bloom) crossed paths with Sasappis (Román Zaragoza), it seemed like a potential match made in heaven for a while. Ultimately, lies and Jessica’s wish to get back on the road ended their brief run together, and for this reason, lands them at the bottom of this ranking.

4. Hetty & Trevor

While Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) and Trevor (Asher Grodman) might have never been a full-fledged couple, their affair was among one of our favorites. Pairing the most prudish character with the pants-less Wall Street bro? A hilariously delicious combo that we wouldn’t hate to see more of in the future.

Brandon Scott Jones and John Hartman in 'Ghosts'

3. Isaac & Nigel

Surely one of the most prominent romances from the series, Isaac and Nigel’s love story technically began when they were living as Isaac was checking out Nigel from across the battlefield when he accidentally shot the redcoat. Though they had their ups and downs, Isaac and Nigel’s sweet romance endured to the point of going so far as to plan a wedding. Sadly, they did not move forward with the nuptials, but a small part of us isn’t giving up hope for a potential reconciliation in the future.

2. Thorfinn & Flower

Free spirits Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long) and Flower (Sheila Carrasco) are a duo worth rooting for as they’ve become a rather strong couple since they first started exploring a romance. Seeing Thorfinn’s devotion to Flower when he believed she had been “sucked off” only added to our affection for this duo. Their easygoing manner makes way for little drama and plenty of sweet moments to enjoy.

1. Sam & Jay

Sam and Jay are certainly an example of a strong relationship. The fact that Jay accepts Sam’s ability to see the ghosts only serves to enhance our love for them because this pair sticks together through thick and thin. And beyond accepting Sam’s ability, Jay has even become invested in the intricacies of the lives of Woodstone’s spirits. If that’s not a commitment, we don’t know what is.

Danielle Pinnock and Richie Moriarty in 'Ghosts'

Honorable Mention: Alberta & Pete

Sure, they’ve never technically been a couple, but we wouldn’t hate to see Ghosts explore the potential storyline of Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) and Pete (Richie Moriarty) becoming an item. It’s been teased for quite some time, and we can only imagine what that relationship might look like if the show were to move forward with it. Here’s to hoping!
