‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ Season 3 Premiere: Farmers Explain Their Picks for First Solo Dates

[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for the Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 premiere.]
New year, new farms. Farmer Wants a Wife Season 3 kicked off on March 20, with four new farmers searching for love: John Sansone, Jay Woods, Colton Hendricks, and Matt Warren.
Each farmer was introduced to eight women but could only choose five to come back to their farms. They also had to pick one special lady out of their five to join them on the farm for the first solo dates and 24 hours of alone time.
Farmer John chose Samantha, the 24-year-old who got off to a testy start with the Missouri native. There was major so-called “mean flirting” going on between these two, and she even threatened to leave if she wasn’t chosen for the first solo date. “I picked Sam because I wasn’t really sure where her head was at,” John told Swooon. “I was attracted to her, so I figured, you know, figure that one out quickly, see what’s going on there, so I can get it over with or see where it can go from there.”
Jordyn was Farmer Matt’s pick for the first solo date. “That was a tough one because you’re in front of all the other girls when you pick her,” Matt said. “It really just came down to chemistry, and I think right off the bat you can tell with someone if you have that chemistry going on. The girl that I chose, we had that right off the bat. I felt out of all the girls I spoke with I was most comfortable with her.”
Farmer Jay loved that Grace had a “great energy” about her. Grace was his top pick because “she was kind of shy,” and Jay connected to that right away. As for Farmer Colton, it “just came down to who I vibed with the best at first,” and that was Bailee.
