Jay Woods

If you’re into cowboys with an athletic background, then Jay is the guy for you. The 25-year-old former Duke football player had to retire his dream of becoming a pro when he got injured. Having to go back to square one, he realized that going back to his roots was the best option.

Jay grew up on his grandfather’s horse farm in Alabama and is loving his time back working there. A typical outdoorsman, he and his family love everything from farming and hunting to more relaxing endeavors like kayaking and fishing.

His mom has been asking him for “grandbabies” for a while, and now, he’s finally looking for someone to complete his life. He wants someone who is, “a kind-hearted, refined, confident woman who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty on the farm!”

Current Location: St. Louis, MO

Occupation: Soy, corn, wheat Farmer

Type of Farm: 170-acre soy, corn, and wheat farm

This young farmer knew from an early age that he wanted to be in the family business. John was taught everything he knows about farming by his grandfather, and currently still works on his great-grandfather’s land.

Yet, that’s not all he likes to do. In his downtime from the farm, he prioritizes studying for his law degree. He’s attending classes at Washington University School of Law in Saint Louis, Missouri.

The 25-year-old does occasionally have time for hobbies. When he does, he prefers to be “going on woodland drives with his grandfather, daytime fishing and nighttime frog gigging. John is eager to find his life.”

According to his LinkedIn profile, he’s the second of six siblings and has 60+ cousins. Now, he wants to make the family even bigger as he wants to find the woman of his dreams.

Matt is the only first-generation farmer on this season of Farmer Wants A Wife, yet he’s already quite accomplished. The oldest of the bunch has a natural gift for fruit farming, which allows some to mistake him for a seasoned pro. After his sister-in-law’s parents tragically passed, he swapped his real estate house-flipping profession in Austin, Texas and headed straight to the farm in California.

To make his life complete, Matt only has one more wish. He wants a wife and children. Although, he loves the title of “Uncle Matt” that his nine nephews and nieces have given him, the one of “dad” is the one he’s longing for.

FOX

Colton Hendricks

Having been brought up on a farm, he confirms that it instilled in him the value of hard work. “Love, family, and ranching” are Colton’s top priorities. He knows exactly what he wants, but lately, it’s been hard to meet the right mate. Will he succeed on Farmer Wants A Wife?
