20 Celebrity Couples With Major Age Gaps: Chris Evans, Alba Baptista & more
Season 3 of The White Lotus reignited the conversation about age gap relationships, thanks to the romance between Rick (Walton Goggins) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood). In Hollywood, there are plenty of couples with significant age differences that have managed to make their relationships work.

Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi – 15 Years
Ellen DeGeneres is 15 years older than wife Portia de Rossi. They were 43 and 28, respectively, when they met in 2001 at a Rock the Vote concert. However, they didn’t start dating until 2004, followed by an engagement in May 2008, and a wedding that August.
Heidi Klum & Tom Kaulitz – 16 Years
Heidi Klum was born in 1973, but her husband, Tom Kaulitz, was born in 1989. When the two started dating in 2018, he was 28 and she was 44. They wasted no time getting engaged by the end of that year, then secretly tied the knot in February 2019 before having a larger ceremony that summer.
The model told InStyle in 2018, “My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it. That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it. I don’t really think about it that much otherwise. You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles.”
Chris Evans & Alba Baptista – 16 Years
Alba Baptista was just 24 years old when she started dating then-40-year-old Chris Evansin 2021. Although fans speculated about their romance for months, the relationship wasn’t confirmed until November 2022, at which point they had been together for “over a year.”
The two are super private about their relationship, but they tied the knot in September 2023.
Amal Clooney & George Clooney – 17 Years
George Clooney’s run as Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor ended when he married Amal Clooney in 2014 (he was 53 and she was 36 at the time). They have a 17-year age difference.
As he told The New York Times in 2015, “I didn’t really think I’d have much of a chance with her because I was 17 years older, and she seemed to have everything she needed.”
Amal gave birth to the couple’s twins in 2017, and George is now focused on staying as healthy as possible for them. “I had this conversation with Amal when I turned 60,” he said. “I said, ‘Look, I can still play full-court basketball. I can still run around. I can still do pretty much everything I did when I was 30. But in 30 years, I’m 90.””
Nick Viall & Natalie Joy – 18 Years
The Bachelor star Nick Viall is 18 years older than his wife, Natalie Joy. When they started dating, he was 38 and she was 20. The couple got married in April 2024, just over two months after the birth of their daughter.
In 2025, Viall insisted on his podcast that “age gaps are in,” and added, “I always say, when it comes to age gaps, looks matter.” He and Joy also defended their relationship versus “a 70-year-old man who looks like a grandfather” trying to “make connections with younger [people].”
Bradley Cooper & Gigi Hadid – 20 Years
Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid have mostly kept their relationship under-the-radar since getting together in 2023 when she was 28 and he was 48. However, she did say in a March 2025 interview that she feels “lucky” to be with the actor.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley & Jason Statham – 20 Years
When Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham met at a party in 2009, she was 22 and he was 42. They got engaged in 2016 and share two children. Although the couple has yet to tie the knot, she has said that they plan to marry someday.
“We have a connection that has nothing to do with age,” the model told Glamour in 2013. “Work comes and goes, but if you have someone at home who thinks you’re the greatest person in the world, that keeps you going.”
Josh Duhamel & Audra Mari – 21 Years
Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari, who married in 2022, are 21 years apart. When they tied the knot, she was 28 and she was 49. They welcomed a son in January 2024.
Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart – 22 Years
When Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart met at the Golden Globes in 2002, he was 59 and she was 37. They got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2009 and tied the knot in June 2010.
Although they never had any biological children together, Ford officially adopted Flockart’s son, Liam, whom she had adopted herself before they met, in 2010. The actor also has four kids from previous relationships. He shares two sons with first wife Mary Marquardt and a son and daughter with second wife Melissa Mathison.
“The truth is, I sometimes feel very much older than Harrison,” Flockhart said in 2017. “Sometimes, I even say, ‘Wow, I keep forgetting that he’s 22 years older than me.’ It doesn’t factor into our relationship at all. I like the way he looks first thing in the morning. It’s not handsome, it’s more cute. He looks like a little boy.”
Sam Taylor-Johnson & Aaron Taylor-Johnson – 23 Years
Sam Taylor-Johnsonand Aaron Taylor-Johnson met in 2008 on the set of the film Nowhere Boy when she was 42 and he was 18. They have insisted that there was “no funny business at all” during filming. Amid the movie’s production, she split from her husband of 11 years, whom she shares two daughters with.
Aaron proposed in 2009 before the two had been on a date “or even kissed,” Sam told Harper’s Bazaar. The pair’s first daughter was born in 2010, followed by another daughter in 2012. They tied the knot in June 2012, just months after the birth of their second child.
Of their age gap, Aaron once told the Irish Independent, “I’m an old soul and she’s a young soul. We don’t see an age gap; we just see each other.”

John Stamos is 23 years older than his wife, Caitlin McHugh. They got married in February 2018 and welcomed a son two months later.
“Being older with someone younger, you go, ‘All right, you know everything and they need to listen to me,’” he once told People. “But I’m always learning something from her. What I love about our household with Billy is there’s always political conversations going on or charity events.”

The couple got engaged in 1999, had their first child in 2000, and got married three months later. Their second child followed in 2003. Although the stars briefly split in 2013, they eventually reconciled and will celebrate 25 years of marriage in 2025. “We’re just very good with one another. We respect each other, and I never really feel that he’s 25 years older than me,” the actress told The Telegraph in 2022.

Kris Jenner met Corey Gamble in August 2014 when she was 58 and he was 33. Despite their 25-year age gap, they hit it off and have been together ever since.
Jenner spoke about their age difference on a 2024 episode of The Kardashians. “I used to say to Corey all the time when I first started dating him, like, ‘Why do you want to date somebody who is older than you?’ I didn’t get the age gap, and then he taught me that age is just a number. It’s a f**king big number, but it’s a number! Listen, I can’t explain someone’s chemistry or why people fall in love, but it’s been an amazing almost 10 years, and we have a great time.”

Hilaria Baldwin was 27 years old and working as a yoga instructor when she met 52-year-old Alec Baldwin at a restaurant in 2011. He approached her and gave her his phone number. Just over a year later, in April 2012, they got engaged.
The couple tied the knot in July 2012 and welcomed their eldest daughter, Carmen, just over a year later. They have since had six more children together.
While discussing their age gap on The Baldwins, Hilaria said, “It’s something that people focus on a lot. I don’t believe that age is just a number. He was very different when he was 26 years younger, and I’ll probably be very different when I’m 26 years older. And I think if you respect that and you see your person where they are and see it for what it is, and then see if it works, and obviously it does for us.”

Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor first met in 2005, but they were both in relationships with other people at the time. Ten years later, they reconnected after following each other on social media, prompting Taylor to slide into Paulson’s DMs.
Holland spoke about the age gap in a 2024 SiriusXM interview, admitting, “I mean, we have a big generational difference between us, which worries me for her sake. But, you know, what can I do?” She also added, “We are very interested in the same kinds of things, and yet we share big differences.”
While Paulson and Taylor have said that they don’t plan on getting married, they’ve already made their love last for a decade. The secret? “We don’t live together,” Paulson said on the SmartLess podcast in 2024. “That’s the secret to it. We spend plenty of time together but we don’t live in the same house. We’re together when we want to be and we’re not when we don’t.”
David Foster & Katharine McPhee – 34 Years
Katharine McPhee and David Foster, born in March 1984 and November 1949, respectively, married in 2019 and welcomed a son together in 2021. Their 34-year age gap makes her younger than Foster’s four oldest children (he has six kids total).
The two met in 2006 while she was competing on American Idol, and he was serving as a mentor. After remaining friends for years, their relationship turned romantic following Foster’s divorce from Yolanda Hadid in 2017.
Despite criticism of the age gap, Foster’s daughters Erin Foster and Sara Foster have said they don’t have a problem with their stepmom. “I have an issue with how hot she is!” Erin joked in a 2020 interview.
In 2021, McPhee discussed the age gap and said, “I totally get the judgment initially, but things are never as they appear, things are never exactly as they appear, and I’m in love with our love story and that’s all that matters.”

Dennis Quaid was 66 years old when he married 27-year-old Laura Savoie in 2020. Of the age gap, Quaid told People, “It really just doesn’t come up. There’s just something timeless about us. We’re partners in our relationship and in life. It’s love. And love just has a way of surprising you.”
