‘Summer House’: Mia Teases Boyfriend’s Visit & Reveals How She ‘Friend-zoned’ Him

Mia Calabrese entered Summer House Season 10 as a new cast member, and she’s slowly been sharing more about her life with viewers. The newbie has a boyfriend, Scott Robert Williams, but he has only appeared on the show via FaceTime calls so far.
In an interview with Swooon, Mia opened up about whether we’ll actually see Scott pay a visit to the Hamptons. Plus, she revealed the full story of how they met, why they didn’t start dating right away, and more.
“When we started filming, he was knee-deep in opening a restaurant, so I knew [him coming] was not going to happen,” Mia explained. “There was no way. But he does come. He comes to the house one weekend, which was really sweet. It was awesome.”
Although Scott wasn’t able to spend much time at the house, he was supportive of Mia deciding to film the show. “He’s really just a supportive and kind person,” she said. “He was incredibly supportive and so kind. I really appreciate that. Because I think some men would be like, ‘Absolutely not. You’re not living in a house with a bunch of people you don’t know. That’s so weird.’ I always say Scott is not an insecure weirdo. He’s just supportive and is like, whatever you want to do and whatever makes you happy, if it’s this, then go have that experience. I was grateful.”

Mia and Scott met through mutual friends and were “friends for years” before they started dating. “He would always ask me on a date, and I would say no. And then finally I said, ‘OK, if you want to take me on a date, what’s the most unsexy place someone can take someone?’ So I allowed him to take me to the Bronx Zoo.”
Scott “was so sweet” on the date, according to the new Bravo star. “Like, I [had] friend-zoned him, he was just a friend, there’s nothing there. But I really enjoyed him on our little date,” she admitted. “It was a slow burn with him and I. I was still kind of one foot in and one foot out. Then we started taking our relationship serious, and he’s just a sweetheart.”
The two don’t currently live together, and Mia said she’s in a “go-with-the-flow moment of [her] life right now,” but they make it work because they’re “very used to being long distance,” she explained. “I think our friendship is so important. We just make the time to enjoy each other as best we can.”
