Ryan Seacrest Addresses Relationship Status After Sweet Moment With Kids on ‘American Idol’
Ryan Seacrest was left blushing after having a sweet moment with American Idol contestant Jamal Roberts’ kids on the Sunday, April 27, episode of the show.
After Jamal’s performance, Seacrest carried his the singer’s two daughters on stage to have a sweet reunion with their dad. Luke Bryan jumped in and told the host, “You kinda looked good doing that! You looked like you were ready for that.”
Seacrest didn’t brush off the comment, but leaned into it instead, asking the country singer, “You know anyone?” The television personality is single following his 2024 split from Aubrey Paige.
The guys moved on from there, with Seacrest turning his attention to Jamal and gushing over how cute his kids are. However, before the show went to its next commercial break, he continued the bit, asking Bryan, “Who’s in your contacts?” Bryan kept it going, too, and joked, “We’ll swipe.”
Seacrest has never been married, although he’s been in various long-term, public relationships. He was dating Paige for three years before their split.
In 2022, Seacrest opened up about whether he wants to have a family of his own one day. ““ think having kids at the right time would be great,” he admitted. “I have a fantastic family, a very small family. I have a niece, [my sister] Meredith has a daughter. My parents have been married 52 and a half years, so there’s a high bar. So that’s in my head.”
One year earlier, he also addressed the topic. “I do want to have kids,” he told Wall Street Journal magazine. “But I haven’t even gone down that path, which is nuts at my age. I think in the last year, it’s become clear to me that yes, I do want to do that…. I want to be available and present.”
