Who Should Theresa Nist Date on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’? Leslie Fhima Weighs In
Now that Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette cast members will be headed to the beach to look for love on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, everyone is wondering who exactly is headed down to Mexico with Leslie Fhima and Gary Levingston. Many Bachelor Nation fans hope to see Theresa Nist, the winner of The Golden Bachelor Season 1, whose marriage to Gerry Turner ended just months after their TV wedding.
During her appearance on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Golden Bachelor runner-up Fhima was asked who could be a good match for Nist if she hypothetically joined the show. So, who does Fhima think Nist should date from the Golden suitors?
“Keith [Gordon] seems really funny, and I haven’t met him, but he seems really funny,” Fhima said. “And Theresa is funny. She has a good sense of humor. You know, I could maybe see them having fun together, but I don’t know.”
Gordon was one of Joan Vassos‘ suitors on The Golden Bachelorette. He received Vassos’ First Impression Rose and became a Bachelor Nation fan-favorite. Gordon is a self-proclaimed “girl dad.” He was eliminated in Week 5.
Before she went on The Golden Bachelor, Nist was married to her first husband, William, for 42 years until he death in 2014. They were high school sweethearts. She went on to find love with Turner on The Golden Bachelor, and they said “I do” in a TV wedding just months later.
In April 2024, Turner and Nist announced that they were divorcing. The couple said their split was due to them not wanting to be separated from their families. They were looking for places to settle down together, but they couldn’t agree on a location.
Despite their divorce, there’s no bad blood between Turner and Nist. Turner has started dating again, which means he definitely won’t be on Bachelor in Paradise. He revealed to Bachelor Happy Hour hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt that he has a new girlfriend. He hasn’t gone public with his new love, but Turner confirmed he did make sure to tell Nist that he was seeing someone.
