Florence Pugh is no longer adamant about keeping everything about her personal life private. Instead, she is now sharing some snippets of information about her new boyfriend.

The actress hasn’t been in a public relationship since her romance with Zach Braff came to an end in 2022. Now, Pugh is ready to open herself back up to the world, and most importantly, her fans.

Lauded as one of the most down-to-earth superstars, the Midsommar lead shared with Harper’s Bazaar UK that it took her a while to become this version of herself publicly. “It wasn’t until I realized I could have fun, and that other people enjoyed watching me having fun, that I could relax,” she said.

Pugh dished in her interview that she’s currently in love, and her past relationships have changed how she approaches new ones. “I’m more sympathetic to the people who are in love with me, because it’s not easy! I’m tricky – I’m always busy, I can never make dates,” she said. “But it’s not good enough for me to ask someone to just accept that. I’ll just end up alone. I don’t want that – I want a family.”

The actress is currently dating actor Finn Cole. They haven’t publicly confirmed their relationship, but they have been spotted out together a number of times over the last year.

Before her latest relationship, Pugh dealt with a “scary breakup” just as We Live in Time began shooting. The themes of mortality in the film amplified her desire to take control of her romantic life. “I think that movie forced me to realize I can’t wait for people anymore. I can’t accept this version of love. I have to help myself,” she admitted.

The Thunderbolts* star previously shied away from sharing details about her personal life after receiving scrutiny over her romance with the Scrubs alum. The two had a 21-year age gap, and Pugh hopped on Instagram in 2020 to condemn cruel online behavior. “It can be such a hate-fest out there,” the Brit stated.

Pugh previously revealed some insight about her rumored relationship with the Peaky Blinders star. When British Vogue asked her whether she was in love, she promptly answered “I am.” The Little Women standout added, “And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster. I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.”
