Tarek El Moussa Reveals Surprising New Details About His Split From Christina Haack
Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack haven’t been together for years, but fans of the twosome will always remember their HGTV hit Flip or Flop.
While looking back on that time of his life, which included his divorce from Haack, El Moussa revealed that what you saw on Flip or Flop wasn’t a true representation of his relationship with his ex at the time. The duo acted one way when the cameras were rolling and another when they weren’t.
“We split in 2016. I don’t think the world realizes that it has been almost 10 years.” So much has changed between them since 2016. “In the beginning, we were still filming Flip or Flop. We didn’t say a word to each other unless it was on camera and then the last few years we’ve just really communicated over coparenting and things like that,” El Moussa told Page Six.
Currently in a good spot with Haack, the former spouses have grown closer to each other again through their new series, The Flip Off. “But, now with the show, we’re traveling together, we’re doing interviews together, working together, me, Christina, Heather [El Moussa]. We’ve now rebuilt the relationship that we once had in a much different way,” he said. “So we’re more aligned, we’re more supportive, and we still always have the same goal, which is raising the best kids possible.”
El Moussa and Haack share two kids together, Taylor, 14, and Brayden, 9. While Haack remarried twice after her split from El Moussa, first with Ant Anstead and then with Josh Hall. The Christina on the Coast star welcomed a son, Hudson, with Anstead.
El Moussa tied the knot with the Selling Sunset star in 2021. The El Moussas also welcomed a son, Tristan, making the blended family a happy bunch.
El Moussa supported Haack throughout her tumultuous split with Hall. Haack has since moved on with new boyfriend Christopher Larocca. El Moussa admitted, “I actually really do like him. I think he’s smart. He’s talented. I think he gives good advice, and I think they’re a good fit.”
He added, “What the future holds, I have no idea, but I think for now he’s someone who’s really good for her to have in her corner.”
