‘Temptation Island’ Season 9 Couple Confirms Split After Surprising Finale Reunion
It’s been a month since the Temptation Island finale dropped on Netflix, but a lot has already changed since then. The status of the couples who decided to leave the show together are not all the same anymore.
In fact, one of the original Season 9 couples who surprised viewers by choosing to give their relationship a shot post-filming has now called it quits.
Shanté Glover confirmed her breakup from Brion Whitley on Monday, April 7. She posted a statement on her Instagram Story to reveal that they had ended their relationship. “After much thought and reflection, Brion and I have decided to part ways for now,” Glover wrote. “There’s no bad blood — just two people recognizing that we need time and space to process this journey.”

She continued, “I have so much I want to share with you all, and I hope you’ll continue to support and encourage me as I step into this next chapter. I wish Brion nothing but the best, and I hope we’re both able to grow from this experience. As I move forward, I’m excited to share more of myself with you all. Let’s keep pushing forward together.”

Glover and Whitley came on Temptation Island to try and save their relationship. Although he gave into temptation by having a threesome with two of the sexy singles on the show, Glover decided to give him another shot when he assured her that the dalliance only made him realize that what he had with her was what he wanted.
After the episodes came out and Whitley received backlash for his actions, he explained on Instagram, “These past two years have been full of love, laughter, and growth — and they haven’t been perfect. I’ve made mistakes I’m truly sorry for. I take full accountability for my actions, and I know I hurt someone who didn’t deserve it. But Shante showed me grace when I couldn’t show it to myself. She stood by me when she could’ve walked away, and that strength and love humbles me every day.”
The exes did not reveal what led to their decision to call things off now, but Glover’s statement seemed to hint that it might not be over for good. The only other Season 9 couple who’s still together are Lino Troisi and Alexa Santamaria, both of whom did not give into temptation on the show. They got engaged during the finale.
