‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Star Reveals Why She Turned Down Post-Pods Vacation With Fiancé

Love Is Blind Season 8 might’ve already been fully played out on Netflix, but the cast members still have some intel to share.
The person ready to reveal more of her story is Brittany Dodson. Brittany was a notable presence in the pods, but she wasn’t a part of the show beyond that, even though she got engaged to Mo Ndiaye.
However, their absence in Honduras was not a decision the production made for them (unlike Brian Sumption and Kylie Schuelke). It was Dodson who decided that she and Ndiaye would not go on the pre-wedding honeymoon trip. The 35-year-old shared with Jess A Couple Things podcast why she wasn’t dying to follow through with the experience. “I’m, like, ‘Let’s go back to Minnesota and get to know each other.’ I felt that would be a little more authentic as well because there were a couple little signals I was getting … [and] something would come out.”
Having had a strong connection with Ndiaye in the pods, Dodson felt that he wasn’t completely honest about his looks. When the two first saw each other at the reveal, the corporate partnership manager felt a little misguided.
“I go through the reveal and Mo comes out and I see him. I’m not a super vain person, when I saw him [I was like], ‘You wasn’t as tall as you said you were.’ I was like, ‘OK, whatever alright,’ and so, we walk toward each other,” she recalled. “He seemed very nervous and I’m like, ‘I’m a whole lot of woman.’ He’s kind of shaking a little bit. We did kiss [and] it was a little peck at first. He got on the knee, opened the box and did the proposal and everything.”
While Ndiaye knew “all the right things” to say, she didn’t want to close herself off from the get-go. She confessed, “I liked Mo a lot, and I had picked Mo first, and then I went back and was like, ‘Well, let me see what Adam is about.'” Dodson changed her ways when creator Chris Coelen came to the group and said, “Don’t pick what you usually do.” She further added, “He was getting in my head a little bit. … [He told the women] to be open to new people and new experiences.”
Ultimately, the relationship between Dodson and Ndiaye didn’t work. The two have since broken up.
