‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Shocker: Meg Reveals She Went Out With Cast Member’s Ex
Love Is Blind Season 8 just got even weirder.
Remember Dave Bettenburg and Lauren O’Brien? The engaged couple wasn’t able to make things work because Dave became preoccupied with Lauren’s pre-show hookup with someone connected to his friend circle. That guy, Daniel Nides, has become even more involved in the Love Is Blind lore.
Meg Fink, who was in a love triangle with Mason Horacek and Madison Errichiello, opened up about her post-pods dating life — and that familiar chap crept up again.
She found her way back to Mason in 2025, but prior to their reunion, she had only gone on one date. Meg shared on the Dear Shandy podcast that she”only went on one date this past year.”
“It was after we [her and Horacek] broke up the first time, and I’m like, I need to start moving on. I need to let go of this experience, I go on Hinge,” she explained. She wasn’t on the dating app long, but Meg stumbled upon someone attached to Lauren’s romantic history. “The first Hinge date I go on was actually the guy who Lauren, who was a part of Lauren’s storyline the entire show.”
Shocking the hosts, Meg confirmed, “Yes, the Lauren-Dave guy… The hookup guy.” She added, “And when I tell you, I did not go on a date again after that because I truly feel if I date someone now it’s going to be someone’s brother, someone’s ex, and so I was like, I’m alright.”
Meg recalled telling Daniel about her friend group when he suddenly interrupted her and said, “Can I ask you a weird question? Were you on Love Is Blind?”
Meg continued, “I was like a deer in a headlight. ‘Maybe, why?’ And then he told me he was the one in the situation with Lauren and Dave.” She was stunned. “I couldn’t believe it,” she confessed.
Her date with Lauren’s ex was a one and done. Meg revealed that she “immediately called” Mason after the date.
