Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa have become an HGTV power couple in just a few short years. Through their series The Flip Off, the duo showcased their great bond with Tarek’s ex, Christina Haack.

The Flip Off’s first season has come to a close, but the couple is still letting audiences learn more about their life together. They welcomed their son, Tristan, in 2023, and Heather is hopeful about another baby.

The same can’t be said for Tarek, who also shares his two older kids, Taylor and Brayden, with Haack. Opening up on the Scrubbing In with Becca Tilley & Tanya Rad podcast, the Selling Sunset alum revealed, “I never wanted to leave [my son]. I want to be with him all the time. I still do.” she gushed. “He is the light of my life. It makes me so happy. I’m like, ‘How could I not want more?’ But my husband is very much done.”

She divulged that it is “hard” to disagree with Tarek about “what we want with our future.” Heather added, “We are in therapy, talking through things, and it’s just something that we never went to therapy together, which I wish we would have started it sooner because I think it’s such an amazing thing and it helps communication.”

The twosome began their couples therapy “four months ago” and go at least twice a month. “It just helps us talk through what I’m feeling, and then his feelings,” Heather revealed.

They different reasonings as to why they disagree on their family’s size. Heather wants another baby soon. “I’m 37. I’m turning 38 this year,” she explained. “So, for me, it’s kind of like now or never in a way, not because you can’t have babies older, but I don’t want to be 40 having babies still ’cause it’s a lot. It takes up a lot of your time, a lot of your life, and the kids are my priority over myself. So, I want to do it, get my body back. And it took a long time. It’s hard.”

Tarek doesn’t see eye-to-eye with his wife about expanding their family. Heather admitted that she wishes she had brought up the possibility of having more kids with him sooner after Tristan was born. “Postpartum, too, is really hard. I didn’t have depression, but you go through crazy hormonal changes,” she said. “You’re taking care of this little human that needs you. It’s not like you can just leave and go. They need you.”

She continued, “[I was] lucky I got pregnant naturally, but I do have embryos saved, and we were planning on implanting the embryos and then I got pregnant with Tristan. That was a huge shock. I did not think I’d be able to get pregnant on my own. And now I have those embryos and who knows what’s going to happen.”
