‘Bachelor’ Winner Juliana Pasquarosa Reveals Where She Stands With Runner-Up Litia Garr

Juliana Pasquarosa and Litia Garr formed a close relationship as the final two women on Grant Ellis‘ season of The Bachelor. But where do they stand months later?
After all, Garr had her heart broken by Ellis, the man Pasquarosa is now engaged to, and the exes had a mostly awkward confrontation on After the Final Rose following the Monday, March 24, finale. Needless to say, they didn’t exactly end on amicable terms, and Swooon spoke to Pasquarosa about whether her friendship with Garr was affected.
Right now, the ladies aren’t exactly on speaking terms, but there’s also no drama. “I think coming through this journey, you really have to be true to yourself,” Pasquarosa explained. “We’re in a unique situation where I chose to go through this in my own way, and she went through it in her own way. I don’t know the differences, I’m not comparing by any means. I just think we both were naturally true to ourselves. I do have a lot of well wishes for her, and I want the best for her, and I know she deserves the world. We haven’t necessarily spoken, but I don’t think there’s any bad blood.”
Pasquarosa also acknowledged that her friendship status with Garr could change over time. “Emotions are high so it’s nice to give somebody space to kind of die down from that,” she admitted.

The Utah native did not hold back from calling Ellis out when he dumped her at the final rose ceremony and then again months later when they came face-to-face at AFR. She pointed out that he made her feel so secure in the relationship with the things he said, including how he told her as early as Week 2 that he was ready to stop the show to be with her.
The things Garr said weren’t shocking to Pasquarosa, though. “[Grant and I] talked about everything before the show even started [airing],” she confirmed. “Nothing ever came out of left field for me, from what I watched.”
Pasquarosa said that most of the conversations she and her fiancé had about his relationships with the other women happened up front. “And then, as you start to kind of see things, we had some conversations afterwards, just in terms of reassurance and making sure he was okay and he was making sure I was okay. It’s hard all around,” she added.
One of the breaking points in Ellis and Garr’s relationship was their different timelines for the future. While she wanted to start having kids in two years, he wasn’t in as much of a rush. Ellis said that he and Pasquarosa also discussed timelines on the show but agreed that they were just “going to see how things go.”
“[Grant] talked to my dad about it, too, at our hometowns, and when I talked to my dad he reassured me that Grant wasn’t necessarily looking to come out of this and start immediately planning a wedding,” Pasquarosa explained. “And that’s kind of where my mind was at. We definitely talked about it a bunch of times, but specifically at overnights. We just wanted to make sure we were on the same page so that when we came out of this it wasn’t news to the other person about what the expectation was. We don’t really have an expectation. Of course, I’m engaged, and we’re going to get married, but it’s like, why rush it? We just conquered something so massive and exciting, like, let’s live in the moment. Let’s now try to find normalcy and see what happens.”
Ellis added that marriage is still “the goal,” but there’s no harm in taking things slow. For now, the couple is making plans for the Houston resident to move up to Boston, where Pasquarosa is from.
“We talked about that [on the show],” he said. “That was something that we decided, for me to come up and go there. I know how important Jules’ family is to her and the support that she has. I think that’s going to happen a lot sooner than later.”
