Pedro Pascal and Jennifer Aniston certainly turned heads when they were photographed outside the Sunset Tower Hotel on March 22. The outing, which was reportedly the conclusion of a three-hour dinner, sparked rumors that there could be a romantic relationship developing between the two.

Just days later, Pascal set the record straight on his and Aniston’s relationship status and revealed whether or not the evening was considered a date.

It turns out, there’s nothing romantic going on between the stars, and they weren’t even alone at the dinner. “We’re friends and we went to dinner with mutual friends,” he confirmed to E! News. “It happens.”

Pascal is notoriously private about his personal life and has not openly spoken about whether he’s in a relationship. While he has been romantically linked to some women in the past, none of his romances have ever been confirmed.

Meanwhile, Aniston’s love life has been heavily in the spotlight ever since she stared dating Brad Pitt in the late 1990s. The two were married in 2000, and their 2005 split was highly publicized due to speculation that Pitt had cheated on Aniston with Angelina Jolie, whom he went on to marry (they broke up in 2016).

Following her divorce from Pitt, Aniston was in publicized relationships with John Mayer and Vince Vaughn before settling down with Justin Theroux. They married in 2015 after four years of dating but announced their separation in 2017. They finalized their divorce the following year.

Since then, Aniston has been much more private about her love life and has not been romantically linked to anyone. In 2022, when asked if she thought she’d ever get married again, the actress told Allure, “Never say never, but I don’t have any interest. I’d love a relationship. Who knows? There are moments I want to just crawl up in a ball and say, ‘I need support.’ It would be wonderful to come home and fall into somebody’s arms and say, ‘That was a tough day.'”
