Benedict (Luke Thompson) will be getting the leading man treatment in the upcoming fourth season, which is based on Julia Quinn’s An Offer From a Gentleman. Since the entire show is based on Quinn’s Bridgerton book series, Eloise’s love story is on the horizon. So, who does Eloise end up marrying in the end? Who does Eloise end up with in Bridgerton?
In the show’s current timeline, Eloise is not romantically involved with anyone. Her book, To Sir Phillip, With Love, is the fifth book in the series, which has caused many fans to believe Season 5 will be Eloise’s season.

In To Sir Phillip, With Love, Eloise and Phillip begin corresponding through letters after the death of his wife, Marina, who also happens to be Eloise’s cousin. Eventually, Phillip invites Eloise to his home under the prospect of marriage. At first, Eloise doesn’t reply, but she arrives at his doorstep after fleeing Daphne’s ball without telling anyone.
Feelings develop between Eloise and Phillip as they get to know each other. She helps him take care of his twins, Amanda and Oliver. They also bond over losing past loved ones. Eloise and Phillip eventually marry and have three children together, Penelope, Georgiana, and Frederick.
Who is Phillip Crane?
While most love interests of the Bridgerton siblings are introduced in their prospective seasons, we actually met Phillip Crane (Chris Fulton) back in Season 1. Phillip traveled to London searching for Marina (Ruby Barker) after his brother, George, died in the war. George wanted to marry Marina and raise their baby.
In trying to honor his brother’s promise, Phillip offered his hand in marriage. After an initial refusal, Marina accepted Phillip’s proposal and left London with him. Later, Colin (Luke Newton) learns that Marina and Phillip are doing well, but their marriage appears to be platonic. In the books, Marina is Eloise’s cousin, but in the show, she’s Penelope’s cousin.
So far, Fulton has appeared in two episodes of Bridgerton.
What happened to Theo?
Theo Sharpe (Calam Lynch) was a new character created for the show. He appeared in Season 2 as a potential love interest for Eloise. The character worked at the print shop where Penelope’s Lady Whistledown Society Papers were printed and even helped investigate Lady Whistledown’s identity with Eloise.
Eloise and Theo developed a close friendship as they sought to find out the truth about Lady Whistledown. Their investigation took a turn when Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) became adamant that Eloise was Lady Whistledown. Queen Charlotte questioned Theo about Eloise, which made him want to protect her. After their unchaperoned visits were exposed by Lady Whistledown, Theo and Eloise went their separate ways.
Theo did not appear in Season 3 of the series.
Could Eloise end up alone?
Many fans believe that Eloise shouldn’t get married after her vocal reservations about marriage. Eloise has been vocal about not wanting to lose the freedom she has as a single woman, and she particularly hated debuting into society.
Even though it wouldn’t be a shock if Eloise never married, it’s highly unlikely they’ll eliminate her love story. However, the show has started deviating from the source material by gender-swapping the character of Michael Sterling to Michaela Sterling (Masali Baduza). Anything can happen!
