‘1923’ Hunk Brandon Sklenar Reveals Surprising Way He Met His Girlfriend
Brandon Sklenar might be an actor, but that doesn’t mean he loves to live a public life. Keeping his personal details pretty private, the 1923 actor made a shocking reveal during a recent interview.
Opening up about his girlfriend, Courtney Salviolo, the 34-year-old shared how they met.
When prompted about whether or not he or Drop costar Meghann Fahy had experience with dating apps, he perked up. Sklenar told Entertainment Tonight that he met Salviolo on Hinge. He explained, “I didn’t have Facebook, I wasn’t like a phone app guy and it was right when COVID happened and I was like, ‘Ah f**k, how am I going to meet somebody?'”
The actor, who plays Spencer Dutton on the Paramount+ series, wasn’t on it for very long as he only needed “like two weeks” to strike gold. From their virtual beginning onward, Sklenar and Salviolo have been together ever since.
The couple has similar interests, which is why they connected on the dating app. Sklenar opened up to Forbes about his “very intense” 1923 journey. He divulged that it was the “first time I had done something like that, where I was gone for that long.”
The actor was away for five months, which proved to be hard. “I’m a homebody — I love to be home with my partner and my dog and my house,” he added. “The irony is I have a job that takes me everywhere, which I love, too. It’s a weird dichotomy.”
Not being able to be together during his filming schedule, Salviolo is included in some parts of his professional journey. She has been front-and-center with him during the premieres of It Ends With Us and 1923. Their red carpet outings are very different than her day-to-day. Salviolo is a personal trainer and nutritionist. She has her own Instagram account where she shares all of her tips and tricks.
