Meet Kay Carlson, the Sexy Single Shaking Things Up on ‘Temptation Island’

Temptation Island is back! After initially airing on Fox from 2001 to 2003, then on USA Network for five seasons between 2019 and 2023, the dating experiment has found a new home on Netflix, and all episodes dropped on March 12.
Season 9 featured four couples who wanted to get clarity about the future of their relationships. The men and women were separated into two villas with sexy singles of the opposite sex there to tempt them. Kay Carlson was one of the ladies who stayed in the men’s villa, and she quickly stood out due to her connection with one of the guys.

What does Kay do?
Kay is a fitness influencer. She boasts more than 160,000 followers on Instagram and has more than 50,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Kay launched her fitness Instagram in 2021. “I can’t even express how much this page and all of you have changed my life,” she shared on the two-year anniversary of the launch. “I count my blessings every.single.day. if I hadn’t decided to make and post on this fitness account one random day in my junior year of college I literally have no idea where I would even be today.”
Where does Kay live?
Kay lives in Miami, Florida, according to her Instagram bio. However, she does a lot of traveling and often documents her trips online. Some of her 2024 vacations included trips to Cabo, Bahamas, Colombia, and more.
She also revealed in a 2024 Instagram post that she’s originally from upstate New York.
What happened to Kay on Temptation Island?
Kay quickly formed a connection with Tyler Breshears, who came on the show in a relationship with girlfriend Tayler Byrd. Tyler was previously married for six years and started dating Tayler shortly after the divorce. Since he’d been given into temptation in the past, Tayler had a lot of trust issues, and Tyler was using Temptation Island to prove that he was committed.

However, it didn’t take long for his eye to wander. Tyler was attracted to Kay right off the bat and asked her out on all of his dates throughout the season.
Although the connection was purely emotional at first, the two slept in the same bed and cuddled in Episode 4. They took things a step further in Episode 5 when they decided to enter “temptation haven” together. Since cameras weren’t allowed in the private tents, it’s unclear exactly what happened between the two, but their relationship only intensified from there.
At the final bonfire, Tayler told Tyler that she was done with him, and he had clearly moved on. He asked Kay to leave the show with him and she agreed.
