‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Reunion Bombshell: Monica Reveals Joey’s Moves on Madison Post-Pods

From adorable dates to sock-bin debates, we had little reason to believe that Love Is Blind‘s Joey Leveille and Monica Danus would walk away from their connection until they came face-to-face at the altar. If you were shocked to learn that Monica hadn’t told Joey she loved him until her “I don’t,” her Season 8 reunion reveal will blow you away.
Turns out, Monica and Joey never made it out of the friend zone. While Monica got the flack for not feeling the love until their wedding, the exes revealed that Joey hadn’t said “I love you” either. While the pair tried to stay in each other’s lives, a former pod-squad member got in the way… Enter: Madison Errichiello.
As Joey and Monica rehashed the past, Monica revealed that Joey had slid into Madison’s DMs following the pod squad tubing outing a week before their wedding. While Joey thought their messages were friendly at the time, complimenting her hair and admitting he wished they had spoken more at the event, Nick and Vanessa Lachey agreed with Monica that the messages were inappropriate given the context.
Even worse, Joey told Monica during their “friend-limbo-question mark phase” after the wedding that Madison was coming on to him at bars.
When Monica confronted Madison, she couldn’t believe it. “My jaw was on the floor,” Madison said. She said. “Like, hello?” She continued to share she was “appalled” by this “crazy lie.” Monica and Madison were further “gaslit” when they confronted Joey, who doubled down and stated he had never said that Madison was coming on to him in the first place.
“I have no interest in Madison, but Monica was worried that I did.” Joey shared to a baffled Madison who quickly retorted, “It’s giving interest.”
Why was the name Madison even on Monica’s radar? According to Joey, Monica brought her up.
“All I know is my truth,” Monica concluded. “I know that I felt led on. I did not feel loved. I was really trying, and I don’t feel that effort was reciprocated… I’m so ready just to shut this door and we are humans on this earth together. And that is okay.” Even Joey clapped for that one.
