Regé-Jean Page Gets Pressed About Returning to ‘Bridgerton’ in New Interview

Four years after his stint on Bridgerton ended, Regé-Jean Page is still in the hearts of the entire fandom. Playing the love interest of the oldest Bridgerton daughter, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), Page proved to be the perfect lead.
Yet, Page hasn’t been seen in the last two seasons. He famously left the series after the first season.
One person who isn’t over that Page’s exit from the Netflix romance series is TODAY show host, Savannah Guthrie. When the 36-year-old actor was in the studio to discuss his latest movie, Black Bag, she asked, “Have they forgiven you yet for leaving Bridgerton?”
He smiled and answered about what his current fan interactions look like, “I enjoy moments with folks when I meet them on the street.” Page further explained that there isn’t any bad blood, “We generally have very joyful communication over it.”
Reminiscing about his time on the Netflix hit, he admitted, “I think that we had a really good time on that show.” Page did have a certain determination in his voice when discussing his Bridgerton future. Guthrie pressed on by saying, “We didn’t want it to end.” To which Page quickly replied, “The show hasn’t ended. The show’s still going.” (Season 4 is currently filming.)
Never truly out of the Bridgerton universe, he expressed, “I check in with my friends who are on the show.” Page added, “I check in and kind of make sure that everyone’s OK and that they’re ready for kind of how things change and you step up into the lead on that show.”
Although he has fond memories of his time on Bridgerton, the actor has turned the page. “I still hold a candle for you coming back just… to give the people what they want,” Guthrie said. Page only replied, “Thank you very much.”
