Looking at Simone Ashley‘s career, you might believe she is always in the throws of romance. From taking center stage in the second season of Bridgerton as Kate Sharma to being the lead in the latest Prime Video rom-com Picture Thisher repertoire showcases her reign in the romance genre.

But when it comes to her personal life, love is taking a back seat for the time being.

The Sex Education alum opened up about her single status on the Woman Hour podcast, admitting, “It’s kind of ironic I’m promoting a rom-com. As of January this year, I’ve been entering my single era.”

She didn’t give away much more than that, but did confess that she’s not going to let the breakup take her down. “I’m focusing on me and focusing on my work and my inner confidence,” she eagerly expressed when talking about the next phase of her life. “It feels like a different chapter from when Bridgerton came out, where things were just so crazy.”

In November 2022, the 29-year-old actress vaguely revealed her relationship to Constantin “Tino” Klein in an interview with British Vogue. She divulged, “I’m very happy. We haven’t gone public yet and we’re having those conversations about how we can get there before anyone else does.” A couple of months later, in March 2023, the two became Instagram official. Sharing a photo of Klein lovingly embracing her at a BAFTA after-party, Ashley wrote that it was “one of my favourite photos.”

The former couple met at the Grand Prix in Monaco in 2022. Ashley is a fan of F1 and Klein is in a similar industry. He is the CEO of the GP Ice Race.

Throughout the span of their relationship, both parties were fond of appearing at events together and showing glimpses of PDA. Their last public event was in October of 2024. Ashley and Klein attended the opening of an art exhibition curated by fashion designer Marco Capaldo in London. They were together for over two years before calling it quits.
