‘When Calls the Heart’ Star Drops Hint About Possible Elizabeth & Nathan Engagement
Could Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry) be taking a huge next step in their relationship by the end of When Calls the Heart Season 12? The couple has been going strong since getting together at the end of last season, and many fans wonder whether a wedding is on the horizon for them.
In a new video from The Official Hearties Aftershow, cast member Johannah Newmarch gave away a potential clue about Nathan and Elizabeth’s future. Newmarch, aka WCTH’s Molly, played a round of “Heartieship,” a game similar to Battleship. She could designate fan guesses for the rest of Season 12 as “hit,” “miss,” or “classified.”
The first guess was, “Jed and Molly will be seen on a date.” Newmarch responded in the video, “Miss but adjacent.” Another fan guess was, “Allie’s trespassing on McGinty’s land will be further exposed.” Newmarch’s answer? “Hit.” She also replied “hit” when asked about Edie (Miranda MacDougall) eventually betraying the other side and standing with Lucas (Chris McNally) and Lee (Kavan Smith) on establishing a cattle-free park.
The most interesting guess involved Elizabeth and Nathan: “Mountie Nathan will propose to Elizabeth, and Rosemary will find a way to announce it on the radio.”
“Oh, classified,” Newmarch said. Talk about cryptic! She definitely didn’t say the guess was a “miss,” so there’s hope for an engagement! “That one’s above my pay grade,” the actress added.
Elizabeth and Nathan getting engaged wouldn’t come as a huge shock to fans of the couple. However, they haven’t been in a relationship all that long. They could decide to move in together!
McGarry previously told Swooon that there would be a notable shift in Nathan and Elizabeth’s relationship by the end of the season. “There’s a definite decision that is made that alters the course of their future,” McGarry said.
