Inside ‘Love Is Blind’ Couple Amy & Johnny’s Marriage Today: Their Huge Next Step, Romantic Gestures & More

Falling for each other on Season 6 of Love Is BlindAmy Cortés and Johnny McIntyre‘s connection was palpable from the get-go. Despite some hiccups along the way, Cortés and McIntyre’s love for each other prevailed.

They were the only couple to say “I do” from the Charlotte crowd, and they’re still happily in love today. As part of Swooon’s Blind Items series, the couple opened up about what’s next and how they’ve handled obstacles along the way.

Looking ahead to what 2025 is going to bring for them, Cortés excitedly confessed, “We’re really hoping [2025] is going to be an amazing year. One of the big things we’re going to be doing is starting our house hunt.” One of their requirements is: “A nice big yard for our dog, Gotti.”

McIntyre added, “That’s one of the main things. And then I feel like career-wise, we are gonna be stepping into kind of like a newer niche and starting a YouTube channel, and hopefully starting to do a lot more travel content.” He continued by saying what they have planned, “More traveling, more exploring the world, having fun, before building a family in the future and then hopefully learning Spanish too … I can actually talk to Amy’s family in Spanish and also just in English.”

This is something Cortés really appreciates. From the minute she entered the pods, the 29-year-old stated that family was important to her. Proud of her Puerto Rican and Spanish heritage, Cortés emphasized how crucial it was for a significant other to honor her identity.

She happily divulged, “Him trying to learn Spanish and actually caring and doing it to the best to his ability … is so sweet to me because I do feel seen, and my identity is something that’s so important to me, and the fact that he definitely taps into that is very romantic, in my opinion.”

Besides his Spanish endeavors, the duo has prioritized family time since becoming a couple. “He told me in the pods that he only saw his family twice a year, so last year we were definitely able to see them more and bond more together and get closer,” Cortés exclaimed.  “He’s also gotten way closer to my family, too.”

However, in their fairytale-like marriage, the two do admit to occasionally having a fight or two. Yet, it’s worth mentioning that their communication style is rather healthy. Not ones to be mean or dismissive, McIntyre revealed that they have come up with a system. “If we dig into an argument, it’s ‘I love you. I don’t like you right now, but I still love you.'” He added that there’s a clear reason why they operate that way. “I’m identifying that there was an issue. We still love each other. We’re still going to work through it, but there was an issue that needs to be talked about more.”

Every night before going to sleep, Cortés and McIntyre always say powerful three words to each other before they drift off into the next day: “I love you.”

With the same glittering eyes, which have been present since day one, McIntyre opened up about how Cortés’ romantic gestures mean so much to him. “She’s very encouraging,” he gushed. “‘[What] I’ve been trying to learn over the past year and really dip into is photography, and I feel like she’s my biggest cheerleader with that, and she’s always hyping me up. She’s always supporting me, and I feel like that goes the longest way.”

Talking about their passion for a cooking class date night or even a yoga stint, the adventurous pair is down to do just about anything together.

Their type of love might be pretty rare, but the married twosome also knows how to identify a successful Love Is Blind couple. “With Taylor and Garrett, like you just saw that they were very much meant to be,” Tiffany recalled. “I feel like there’s some chemistry with some that it’s undeniable.”

She also had that same feeling with one of the show’s original matches. “We love Lauren and Cam,” she told Swooon. “We love all the couples, but Lauren and Cam, to me, specifically, is what made me feel like I could actually find a genuine connection in this process.”

And, luckily for Tiffany and McIntyre, they really did.
