Is ‘Jersey Shore’s Sammi Sweetheart Married? Her Relationship With Justin May Amid Pregnancy
Jersey Shore star Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola announced the exciting news that she’s pregnant on Sunday, February 23. The reality star and Justin May told fans, “We’ve been keeping a little secret,” while posing with photos of their baby’s ultrasound.
“Baby May Due August 2025,” the couple added. “After struggling through years of infertility, this is the absolute greatest blessing we could ever possibly ask for! We are so thrilled to finally be able to share the news of our little miracle with you all! Our hearts have never been so full of love, we can’t wait to meet you baby!”

Is Sammi Sweetheart married?
No, Giancola and May are not married yet. However, they did get engaged in March 2024. “Life update: Fiancé 3.16.24,” Giancola shared on Instagram at the time. “The easiest question I’ve ever answered.. happiest & luckiest girl in the world. I’ll love you forever and then some.”

Rather than rushing down the aisle, the couple has been prioritizing starting a family. Shortly before May proposed, Giancola underwent IVF, but miscarried when the embryo did not take. “Just the thought of even being pregnant was such a magical moment for me, and just to have that taken away, it’s devastating for me,” Giancola admitted on a November 2024 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
Who is Justin May?
Although May now appears on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation with Giancola, he mostly lives a very private life. It’s unclear what he does for work today, but he previously worked as a bartender/bouncer at Karma and Bamboo, two of the Seaside Heights establishments that the Jersey Shore cast used to frequent. In fact, he even appeared in the background of a Jersey Shore clip back in the day, which MTV resurfaced amid his relationship with Giancola.
Like his fiancée, May is from New Jersey. He grew up in Toms River.
Who else has Sammi Sweetheart dated?
Giancola is, of course, well known for her past relationship with co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. The two started dating in 2009 while appearing on Season 1 of Jersey Shore. They continued dating on-and-off throughout the series and after filming ended in 2012, but ultimately called it quits in 2014. The relationship was infamously toxic, and Giancola and Ortiz-Magro did not maintain a friendship afterward. Today, they are amicable co-workers on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
The Sweetheart Coast owner moved on from Ortiz-Magro with Christian Biscardi in 2017, and he proposed in 2019. However, the two never made it down the aisle. In July 2021, Giancola confirmed that they had broken up after months of split rumors.
