Joanna Gaines’ Husband Chip Surprises Her With Romantic Gesture in Rare Look at Home Life

Wonder what HGTV supercouple Chip and Joanna Gaines are up to these days? Well, you’re in for a treat. The Fixer Upper hosts know how to make things romantic on their farm in Texas.
This time around, it was the patriarch of their family of seven, Chip Gaines, who pulled out all the stops. “I love to show off to Jo every chance I get, but on Valentine’s Day I love to try and overwhelm her,” he wrote in a belated Valentine’s Day post.
The sweet clip documents the spouses driving on their farm. Chip surprised Joanna with a tractor full of roses for Valentine’s Day. They drove to a field and dumped them on the ground. Set to the Don Williams song “We Got Love,” fans of the item got to see their goats enjoying the flower snack.

Chip joked, “But the real winners just might be the goats..” In a majestical setting, the animals munched on the romantic display.
This was not the first time Gaines pulled off this stunt. In 2024, he also hopped onto Instagram to state, “OF COURSE we are supposed to take care of our wives on Valentine’s Day.. everyone knows that. But for those of us who take care of our wives and our goats.. 🐐now that’s just special 😍.”

In the video, he explained, “I’ve got a strict policy around the farm, especially around Valentine’s Day, which is simply: Go big or go home.” Gaines then zoomed in on the many roses he bought for his wife. A couple days later when they had wilted, the family found a new home for Chip’s act of love.
Gaines added, “You might wonder what happens once Joanna is through enjoying them,” as he threw the flowers on the ground. “Nothing goes to waste around here.”
Chip and Joanna have been married since 2001. They have five children together: Drake, 20, Ella, 18, Duke, 16, Emmie, 15, and Crew, 6.
