Sarah Shahi and Adam Demos are super private about their relationship, which is why fans are often questioning their status. Two years after the pair’s show Sex/Life ended, Shahi is now starring on Hulu’s Paradise, and revealed where she stands with the Australian actor.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Shahi finally gave fans the answer they’ve been waiting for regarding whether or not she and Demos are still together.

The answer is yes, they’re going strong! While discussing whether she and Demos would want to work together again, Shahi said, “Yeah, we’re open. We’ve definitely looked at other projects. Nothing has felt right so far, but what’s great about that is that we met as actors. So we have a really great working relationship with each other; obviously, we have great chemistry. And because we are in a relationship, it’s impossible to lie. I can’t look at him and fake a line. He can’t look at me and do the same. There’s no tolerance for any sort of bulls**t. So I think we do work well with each other, and I would love to find something that he and I could do together.”

Shahi and Demos met on the set of Sex/Life in August 2020. At the time, she was fresh off her separation from husband Steve Howey, whom she was married to for 11 years and shares three children with.

By New Year’s Eve 2020, the couple had hinted at their relationship in an Instagram post. Days later, Demos confirmed the romance with a birthday tribute to Shahi. “Happy bday my baby. I f*#kin love you. You’re everything.”

However, Shahi said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast in April 2023 that the relationship developed “over time,” adding, “It was getting to know him on a person and seeing how aligned our values were.” She said she “really respected how [Demos] talked to his mom and how he talked about women. There was just so much that I started seeing over time that made me go, ‘Oh, you’re kind of everything I’ve ever wanted.’ And that’s when we started being together.”

Sex/Life premiered in September 2021, and Season 2 returned in March 2023. The show has since been canceled.
