‘Love Is Blind’s Madison Reveals What Happened Off-Camera With Meg During Mason Love Triangle

Madison Errichiello entered the Love Is Blind pods hoping to find her match, but instead, she got intertwined in not one but two love triangles — a love square, if you will. Eventually leaving the experience without Alex Brown or Mason Horacek by her side, her interaction with fellow contestant Meg Fink raised eyebrows.
The audience saw how the tense breakup talk between Madison and Mason went down, but they were still left with questions about Madison and Meg’s conversation regarding Mason. Some fans thought Madison sabotaged Meg and Mason’s relationship. To clear up all the confusion, Madison spoke to Swooon and explained her side of what happened.
When their microphones were taken off, Meg approached Madison. “She asked about my relationship with Mason, and I essentially am like, ‘Okay, I’ll tell you what you asked me, but nothing more than that because I didn’t want to feel like I was getting in the way of anything,'” Madison revealed, “But I think, ultimately, she was just trying to figure out whether or not he was saying the same things to both of us, which he was.”

This conversation made its way back to Mason when Madison broached the topic with him. “I felt like I had to be honest with him about the conversation that took place because what I wanted from him was for him to be honest with me. I just ultimately wanted to push for honesty and full transparency,” the artist opened up. Although she did admit, “I think I did speak on Meg’s behalf a little bit more than I should have.” She emphasized, “It was not intentional at all.”
Madison is, however, not upset about how anything went down because it cleared up a lot. “I think Mason just didn’t really take responsibility,” Madison said.
The 28-year-old never intended to convey emotions for both of them, but understands how that connection could be made when watching the show. Recalling the sentence, “You doing two good things at once can cost you both,” Madison divulged, “That is not me speak on speaking on Meg’s behalf, like saying she’s gonna come in here and break up with you. That was never my intention.”

She continued, “I don’t know what Meg’s gonna do, right? Her and I weren’t exactly close in the pods, so I don’t know what she’s gonna do. That’s literally just me very kindly saying, ‘Hey, you’ve been telling two girls the same thing, and historically, that’s never worked out well for anyone. So now it’s time to own up to it. Now it’s time to be accountable.'”
It raised questions to Madison, who shared with Swooon that she wasn’t exactly sure whether or not he was there for the right reasons.
Thinking back on that moment, she said, “You [Mason] don’t owe me anything, but you do owe Meg something. And I think maybe I didn’t articulate that quite well.” Her phrasing eventually even caused some problems between the two women. Madison continued, “I know that Meg did not take it that way either because I know she was like, ‘You spoke for me. That was mine to say.'”
Yet, Madison felt like she did right by herself. “It was my breakup. And, you know, I said what I said. I mean, yeah, I don’t remember everything that happened, but it was never my intention to speak for her.”
The whole debacle ended up becoming a catalyst in her relationship with Alex. He identified himself as an “empath” and wasn’t ready to tear his buddy Mason through the mud. Madison revealed how she felt about Alex’s reaction to the Mason drama in the pods.
“I felt incredibly invalidated,” she stated. Madison added that she didn’t “need to hear that [him validating Mason’s feelings] in the moment.” She asked herself the question, “Okay, do I want this quality in a husband?” Her answer: “No, I don’t.” The artist went on, “What I need is a partner who’s gonna sit with me in hard emotions and like, if I have a hard day, I don’t want to be told look on the bright side, or if I have a disagreement with a friend I don’t want to be told that they’re a good person because I know that. I’ll get there eventually. … And, yeah, it was pretty obvious to me that Alex wasn’t capable of doing that.”
