‘Abbott Elementary’ First Look: Janine & Gregory Talk First Valentine’s Day Plans (VIDEO)
Love is in the air on Abbott Elementary for Janine (Quinta Brunson) and Gregory (Tyler James Williams) who are gearing up for their first Valentine’s Day as a couple in the upcoming episode, “District Budget Meeting.”
In an exclusive first look at the installment, Swooon has a sneak peek clip (above), featuring the loves as they contemplate Valentine’s plans with coworker Barbara (Sheryl Lee Ralph). But what starts out as a simple question turns into a silly scenario with rhetorical questions being posed left and right.
As seen in the video, Barbara simply asks, “Oh, are you two lovebirds making plans for the holiday tomorrow?”

Initially, Janine acts dumb by responding, “Tomorrow? What is tomorrow? Is it President’s Day? What’s tomorrow, Gregory?” she asks, prompting Gregory to chime in.
“You know, I’m not sure, but you trying to kick it, my guy?” Gregory responds.
“I don’t know it’s an ordinary day to me, playboy,” Janine counters. As their back-and-forth silliness ensues, Barbara is clearly fed up with the games. By the time the duo admits they’re kidding and know she’s referring to Valentine’s Day, the fellow educator continues to walk by, throwing a “didn’t buy tickets, don’t want to see the show” comment over her shoulder.
And while Barbara may not be impressed with Janine and Gregory’s silliness, we can’t help but swoon over it. What will be in store for their first Valentine’s Day as a couple? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, an exclusive first look image above also offers a glimpse at another moment for Janine and Barbara in the episode, which will see Ava (Janelle James) and the Abbott teachers plan for the annual school district budget meeting.
