It’s hard to believe that it’s been 13 years since Ben Flajnik graced television screens as the lead for Season 16 of The Bachelor. Flajnik was the runner-up on Season 7 of The Bachelorette with Ashley Hebert, then got his second chance at love as the Bachelor.
Although Flajnik got down on one knee and proposed to Courtney Robertson on the show, their engagement didn’t last long. Just months after the season finale aired, Flajnik and Robertson broke up in October 2012.
But has the wine connoisseur moved on with anybody else? What is he up to today? Scroll down for everything we know about where Flajnik is now.
Is Ben Flajnik married?
Although Flajnik kept his personal life out of the public eye for years following his Bachelor season, he confirmed on Instagram in November 2023 that he had gotten married. At the time, he kept his wife’s identity a secret, although he shared a stunning photo from their wedding day.
“Last month, in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family I married my best friend and it was the most incredible day of my life,” Flajnik captioned the wedding post. “Tears and laughs were had and I’ve never felt so present with another person in my life. I’m so grateful to do life with you and thank you for your unwavering love and support.”
Nearly a year later, the couple followed up the ceremony with a second wedding in Slovenia. Flajnik waited two months before documenting the occasion on Instagram. He also tagged his wife, Christina Flajnik, in the post.
“In early September, my wife and I decided to get married again in a place that we hold so dearly in our hearts, Lake Bled, Slovenia,” he shared. “These photos capture so perfectly how we felt on that magical day surrounded by so many friends and family. It rained for an hour that day and with the storm passing through Sonoma today I’m reminded of how magical my last rainy day was, marrying my best friend again. Here’s to more magical rainy days with you.”
Christina is private on Instagram, and Flajnik has not shared any other updates about their relationship.
Why did Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson break up?
The exes announced their breakup in a joint statement. “After meeting over a year ago, we have decided to end our romantic relationship,” they said. “The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers.”

They continued, “We have nothing but the utmost respect for each other, and both feel this is the right decision. We continue to remain friends and will support each other in future endeavors. Thanks to everyone for your love and support, it’s been quite a ride.”
Robertson was widely regarded as the “villain” on her season of The Bachelor, which led to many considering her relationship with Flajnik to be quite controversial. Ultimately, it didn’t come as much of a surprise when they split.
Flajnik notably dated Jennifer Love Hewitt before becoming the Bachelor, and she even asked him not to become the lead.”I was like, ‘Well, there’s not much I can do here now,'” he said on the She’s All Bach podcast in 2023. “We’re dating for a couple weeks — I wasn’t going to not do The Bachelor.”
