‘The Bachelor’ Season 29’s Allyshia Sparks Romance Rumors With Jenn’s Ex Devin Strader
A recently-eliminated contestant on Season 29 of The Bachelor appears to have a connection to controversial Bachelorette winner Devin Strader.
Viewers were shocked when Grant Ellis sent Allyshia Gupta home during Episode 2, as she received the first kiss of the season one week earlier. Following her elimination, a deep dive into her Instagram had fans buzzing.
Gupta and Strader are following each other on the social media app. It’s unclear whether they actually know each other and when they each hit the “follow” button, but a popular theory is that they’re interested in each other and want to date on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise this summer.
The former Miss California has already expressed interest in heading down to the beach following her Bachelor elimination. “Thank you @bachelorabc for an amazing journey. See you in paradise?” she wrote on Instagram. Meanwhile, Strader has distanced himself from the franchise since his split from Jenn Tran, but TikTok user @LynReality pointed out that he’d be the perfect “villain” to star on Paradise for a “redemption arc.”
Strader and Tran got engaged on Season 21 of The Bachelorette in 2024, but he ended the relationship before the finale aired in September. The Dancing With the Stars contestant slammed her ex for breaking off their engagement over the phone, then following other girls on Instagram, and hitting the town with his friends just days later. The backlash against Strader flooded in during finale night and intensified when he tried to defend himself with social media videos in the weeks that followed.
Meanwhile, Gupta’s early elimination by Ellis definitely came as a bit of a surprise since the two seemed to have a connection on night one. When one fan begged Gupta, “PLEASE tell us what happened,” she replied, “Let’s just say you’re not gonna [want to] miss this season’s tell all.”
Whether or not Gupta and Strader are part of the Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 cast remains to be seen. ABC announced in 2024 that the show would be returning in 2025, but no other details have been confirmed yet.
