‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ Star Kait Smith Welcomes Baby With Mitchell Kolinsky’s Friend
Kait Smith is officially a mama! One year after she made her reality television debut on Farmer Wants a Wife, the social media coordinator announced the birth of her first child.
She shared the news in a joint Instagram post with boyfriend Lucas Phillips. The couple revealed their baby boy’s name and posted the first public photo of him. He’s too cute!
“Rowdy Jack Phillips,” they wrote, along with his birthdate, February 5 at 7:45 a.m., and weight, 8 lbs., 4 oz.

Smith dated Mitchell Kolinsky on Season 2 of FWAW, which aired in the first half of 2024. She was his runner-up on the show, but stayed best friends with his final pick, Sydney Errera. While Errera and Kolinsky are still together, the ladies have maintained a close relationship. Errera even commented on Smith’s baby announcement post with eight crying emojis.
Meanwhile, Phillips and Kolinsky were friends before the farmer appeared on the Fox series. Smith and Phillips have not shared the story of how they met, but it’s possible that Kolinsky was actually the one who introduced them!
Smith announced her pregnancy in August. She posted a photo with Phillips, their dog, and a photo of their baby’s sonogram. “The four of us,” she captioned the post. Errera commented, “I love you so so much. it’s crazy how god lines things up , I’m so proud of you Kait your going to be the best mommy ever.”
Even Kolinsky got in on the excitement, adding, “Uncle Mitch is ready for this sweet baby! So happy for y’all love y’all!”
In May 2024, Smith reflected on her experience on Farmer Wants a Wife, and gave Kolinsky and Errera a special shoutout. “To Mitchell, thank you for showing me that good guys still exist :) and to Sydney, I couldn’t have dreamt of a better best friend. I pray everyone is lucky enough to know someone like you,” she gushed.
