Lacey Chabert Shares Valentine’s Day Plans & Gives Rare Glimpse Into Life With Her Husband
Lacey Chabert‘s latest Hallmark movie An Unexpected Valentine saw her character go on an adventure with a stranger to return a lost engagement ring. So, how is the Hallmark icon celebrating Valentine’s Day this February? Chabert opened up to Swooon about her plans and how they’ve changed over the years.
“I feel like my husband and I used to have very elaborate Valentine’s Day plans,” she revealed. “I’d get an outfit. It was a whole fun romantic evening planned.”
She continued, “And now we’re parents, and I think it’s probably very relatable. We have an eight-year-old daughter, so now our Valentine’s nights are usually family movie night and not as grand as maybe they used to be, but they’re absolutely perfect.”
Chabert and her husband, David Nehdar, have been married for over 10 years. They welcomed their daughter in 2016.
When asked what makes her swoon, Chabert said it’s “changed through the different phases” of her life. It’s all about the small things for the actress, whether it’s doing the dishes or bringing her a cup of coffee.
She revealed how her husband finds new ways to support her after a decade of marriage. “I’m not even kidding my husband will be like, ‘Your car was on empty. I ran out and gassed your car up.'”
She continued, “It really is the little things and then, of course, romantic gestures are always welcome and always wonderful, but I think especially we’ve been married 10 years now and marriage is just knowing that we see each other. It’s feeling acknowledged and feeling appreciated and just feeling that love. It so genuine. I’m so grateful for it.”
Being a part of the Hallmark world, Chabert helps celebrate all things love through the month of February. Hallmark’s Loveuary lineup includes An Unexpected Valentine and other original films.
Chabert’s view of Loveuary is that it’s “a time to appreciate and that might be the love in a friendship or Galentine’s [Day]. I love that that’s become a thing, celebrating with your girlfriends. I think it’s always a good time to acknowledge and celebrate the people in your life.”
