‘The Challenge’ Star Leroy Garrett Gives Update on Wedding Plans With Kam Williams
It’s been nearly three years since Leroy Garrett proposed to Kam Williams amid her first pregnancy, but The Challenge stars have yet to walk down the aisle.
Swooon caught up with Garrett for an update on wedding planning and whether he and his longtime love plan on adding to their growing brood (Williams gave birth to son Kingston in 2022 and daughter Aria in February 2024).
“I asked her the other day, ‘Are you going to marry me or what?'” Garrett laughed. “We are kind of going back and forth on whether we want to do a big wedding or a small wedding. I want to go to a courthouse and just have a wedding, and she wants to have this big grand wedding. But we’ve got two kids. Neither one of us is going anywhere.”
After having their children back-to-back, there aren’t any plans to have another one. “We don’t want anymore, but if we keep playing Russian Roulette we might!” Garrett admitted.
The couple met while filming The Challenge: Vendettas in 2017 (it aired the following year). After dating on-and-off for a few years, they officially got together in 2020 and moved to Houston together. They spent four years in Texas before relocating to Michigan with their two kids in 2024.
“A few years ago we were living in Vegas and New Jersey, and we decided to take our long distance relationship to the next level by moving in together,” Williams shared. “There were three cities we were gonna choose from and when we came to Houston we immediately knew it was meant for us. Every little step of the journey really lined up perfectly for us to be right where we ended up. Little did we know we would leave Houston with our family unit doubled with our kiddos.”
While Williams has been caring for the kids for the last year, Garrett appeared on The Challenge Season 40 and is now a cast member on the upcoming Season 5 of The Challenge: All Stars. However, he teased a possible return for Williams in the future.
“I’m really rooting for Kam to come back,” he told Swooon. “I really want to see her. She’s about to stop breastfeeding, so hopefully in the next year or two you’ll see her back on the screen. But we’re both always in the same boat – we love to compete. It’ll probably be very hard to see us together, you’ll get one or the other, but whenever I get the call, if I’m able to do it, I’ll most definitely come back.”
