‘Sister Wives’ Preview: Meri Brown Reveals What She Wants In a New Man — & Kody Reacts (VIDEO)
Meri Brown is beyond ready to put her relationship with Kody Brown in the past. Kody’s first wife is excited to continue dating and find a new man in Swooon’s exclusive preview of the January 19 episode of Sister Wives.
“I want to date,” Meri declares. “I’m very ready. I’ve actually gone out on a few dates. I have dated a little bit.”
However, reentering the dating scene after being married has been a culture shock for Meri. “I feel like dating is hard. It’s like job interview after job interview,” she admits.
While chatting with her best friend, Jenn, Meri reveals what she’s looking for in a man. She wants someone older than her and taller than her.
“I’m 53. I would like somebody at least 53,” Meri says. “But I’m also okay with somebody up to, like, maybe 60 or 65. I don’t know. We’ll see.” Meri and Jenn share laughs about dating younger men, which isn’t Meri’s style.
Naturally, Kody has thoughts about Meri’s dating journey, and he doesn’t hold back. “Well, Meri wants an alpha male, but she also wants to be in charge. I don’t know how that’s going to work for her,” he says.
Meri stresses that she doesn’t want a “control freak.” She’s looking for “somebody who is going to support me in all of my endeavors.”
Kody couldn’t help but get in a cruel dig about Meri’s friends. “I hope she’s happy. I hope she finds happiness,” he continues. “She needs to ditch all those mean girl girlfriends and find a guy if she really wants love. If she wants to find a man, she’s gonna have to ditch those b*tches because he ain’t gonna put up with that.”
Meri disagrees. She recognizes how supportive Jenn has been to her and says her best friend has been “more loyal than anybody in my family.”
Since Sister Wives is filmed well in advance of the show airing on TLC, Meri has already found love again! She went public with her new boyfriend, Brandon Stone, on December 28. “It’s a Christmas miracle! #MysteryMan #LifeIsGood,” she captioned the post.
