Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Give Marriage Update After Moving In Together

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are going strong — but is marriage in the cards for them? The former GMA3: What You Need to Know co-hosts gave an update about their future plans on the Thursday, January 16, episode of their Amy & T.J. podcast.
While discussing Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell‘s breakup after four years of dating, Robach and Holmes revealed whether they plan on tying the knot themselves.
“My love, Amy Robach, let me declare here publicly that I love you, and we are still going strong, and I still want to marry you,” Holmes told his partner. Since James and Kirkconnell also seemed to be on the path to getting engaged, the journalist then threw in a joke that referenced their seemingly sudden split, adding, “So the headlines next week about us will come as a shock to people. I’m kidding!”
Robach was on the same page. “I love you, too, and I want to marry you,” she confirmed. She also reiterated something Holmes had said earlier about being kind to people on the internet, using James and Kirkconnell’s breakup as an example. “I think we can take these moments, and we can be sad, but we can also have that serve as a reminder to be kind,” she said. “As you always say, T.J., everybody’s going through something. We’re just more aware of it about others sometimes because of the public nature of this world.”
Holmes and Robach were first linked in November 2022 when photos surfaced of them packing on the PDA in NYC. At the time, they were married to Marilee Fiebeg and Andrew Shue, respectively, while hosting Good Morning America‘s third hour together. However, they have insisted that they were separated from their spouses when they got together, and a source told PEOPLE in December 2022 that there was no overlap.
In fact, when the pictures came out, “We both at that point were in divorce proceedings,” Holmes revealed in December 2023. Later that month, Fiebeg and Shue confirmed that they had also struck up a romance.
In October 2024, Holmes and Robach confirmed that they had been living together “for the past few weeks.” Holmes explained that the two still have separate apartments, but are able to “go back and forth” together since they’re in walking distance.
“I’ve enjoyed the time that we’ve had together,” Holmes told Robach. “It’s been a little different, but I’ve liked it. Where we know where we’re going to end up every night instead of having a plan.”
