‘XO, Kitty’: Sang Heon Lee Talks Kitty & Min Ho’s Future After Season 2 (VIDEO)

Season 2 of XO, Kitty has delivered on all counts: It’s messy, it’s dancey, and the love polygons persist. Despite the season’s multiple breakups, makeups, and kisses, Season 2 ended on a hopeful note for one couple in particular: Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee) and Kitty (Anna Cathcart).
At the end of the semester, but still too afraid to confess her feelings, Kitty asks Min Ho if she can go with him on Joon Ho’s tour. Despite swearing off relationships, Min Ho gives Kitty a hopeful smile and agrees to let her tag along with a silent nod. And now that Kitty has been given another year of her scholarship, the two will be back at school together for at least one more year.
Sang Heon Lee spoke with Swooon to discuss what he thinks is in store this summer and the following school year for the bickering pair.
“I think it’s the whole playfulness that brings them together, not like the complete definition of enemies to lovers,” Lee shared.
Throughout both seasons, Kitty and Min Ho have often been at odds with one another, getting on each other’s nerves but also supporting each other through their more difficult moments as well. “It’s more like being able to play around with each other and being able to know when to support each other,” Lee continued.
Despite their differences, the two continue to be drawn back to one another, creating a friendship and playfulness that almost mimics that of Lana Condor‘s Lara Jean and Noah Centineo‘s Peter Kavinsky in the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy. And we all know how that love story ended.
“I think that always brings them together,” said Lee, acknowledging that the two characters don’t always see eye to eye. “I think they also secretly might enjoy the little moments they have,” he smiled.
