Glenn Close Confesses Surprise Relationship News 10 Years After Divorce
Ever wonder who Glenn Close is dating nowadays? Well, the Fatal Attraction star bared it all on The Drew Barrymore Show.
Cozying up with host Drew Barrymore on her comfy couch, the two actors seemed like two pals hanging out, catching up after a long time apart. During their chat, Close opened up about her current relationship status.
If you were hoping for something scandalous, you’re out of luck. Close admitted that she hasn’t dated anyone since her divorce from David Shaw 10 years ago.
When asked by Barrymore if she had even dipped her toe into the dating pool, Close had an immediate reaction, “No, I don’t know. I mean, I’m always up for anything, but I’m very happy right now.”
Barrymore wondered if Close had been on the dating apps recently, and the 77-year-old joked, “Are you crazy?” The eight-time Academy Award nominee then added, “No, I’m too shy to do that.”
The Dangerous Liaisons star explained that she isn’t actively looking for love. “I’m not searching,” she said. “Because I’m actually… I’m not a hugely, comfortably, social person, so I don’t leap to go to a party.”
Barrymore, however, divulged to the crowd that she “got so into” the apps. “I thought it was so much fun, and the search is different,” Barrymore said.
Close has been married and divorced three times. She first tied the knot to Cabot Wade in 1969. They split two years later in 1971. Her second marriage with James Marlas lasted for three years.
The legendary actor has been private about her intimate relationships, yet somehow Barrymore is always able to get the inside scoop. Earlier on, comedian Taylor Tomlinson shared her view on being single, and Julia Fox stated that she “swore off men” on the show.
