‘Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo Reacts to Marcello Hernandez Cheating Rumors After Craig Conover Split
After Paige DeSorbo announced her split from Craig Conover right before New Year’s Eve on her Giggly Squad podcast, the rumor mill went into high gear. One shocking rumor that was alleged was the 32-year-old influencer cheated on Conover with Saturday Night Live‘s breakout comedian Marcello Hernandez.
Even though that’s a move Domingo might have pulled, DeSorbo hopped back on her weekly podcast and shared with her fans, otherwise known as Gigglers, what actually went down.
The Summer House star addressed the rumor by stating, “I don’t care about any rumor that’s, like, ever said about me.” She continued, “The only thing that I was like, OK, can’t let this go by was because it was a third party involved.” She shared her initial reaction to the shocking claim. “When I first saw that, I died,” she admitted. DeSorbo quickly reached out to the SNL cast member.
“I felt weird. I was like, ‘I feel like I have to text Marcello cause like what if he sees it?'” DeSorbo quipped. She was worried that he might have a girlfriend and didn’t want to cause any issues for him.
She continued, “I just texted him. I was like, ‘Hey, just want to let you know, there was a rumor going around that I cheated on my boyfriend with you.'” Hernandez jokingly responded, “F**k yeah.” While DeSorbo explained the truth, she and co-host Hannah Berner couldn’t stop laughing about the surreal moment.
Things became even more intense when she shared that Hernandez then started sending her screenshots of hateful messages he was getting about the rumor. DeSorbo documented her response, “I was like, ‘Marcello, I’m so f**king sorry. This is so embarrassing.'” She added, “No one involved was defending me, which I found interesting.”
The cheating rumors were amplified when DeuxMoi posted a couple of times about DeSorbo’s love life. The gossip account first spread a rumor that she spent New Year’s with a mystery man. Then on their podcast, DeuxMoi claimed that she was linked to “a New York City-based comedian,” prompting Hernandez’s name to be linked to the situation. Not okay with DeuxMoi and some haters’ reactions, DeSorbo divulged that she was “living” in the TikTok comment section.
DeSorbo admitted to only having texted Hernandez once before this happened when she was trying to get into an SNL after-party when comedian Shane Gillis was the host.
