‘The Bachelor’s Kelsey Anderson Announces Major Joey Graziadei Wedding Date Update
Kelsey Anderson and Joey Graziadei‘s big day might be sooner than expected.
Now that she’s starting to try on wedding dresses for her partnership with David’s Bridal, Kelsey is getting a feel for what she could like during her wedding ceremony. Anderson and Graziadei got engaged at the end of The Bachelor Season 28 and have recently moved to Los Angeles together after Joey’s winning stint on Dancing with the Stars.
They are taking steps to plan their nuptials. The 26-year-old revealed to PEOPLE that the couple will make things official in 2026 or 2027. “I’m really excited to start planning it. We are planning it in the next six months,” she said.
She continued, “We’re not getting married this year, possibly next year or the following, because we got engaged so fast, we got engaged in two months. So we want to really take our time still getting to know each other and be really serious about the wedding, and we don’t want it to be a stressful thing. We want to be able to enjoy the process of picking out the things that matter most to us in our wedding.”
Yet, some things are already arranged. Kelsey knows exactly who will join her adventure to find the perfect wedding dress — her closest friends from New Orleans, her sisters Taylor and Jordan, and Graziadei’s sisters Carly and Eleanor.
The Bachelor Nation star already has an idea of what her dress could look like: a gown with a sweetheart neckline. Those were the dresses she was most drawn to during her David’s Bridal fitting. But, when it comes to her actual day, Anderson is not sure yet. “I think that I am going to pick whatever I feel most confident in,” she stated.
However, she does feel like she knows what Graziadei is going to wear. “I think he wants a bow tie and just very simple, black and white,” Kelsey shared.
The two have discussed their pending nuptials in the past. They’ve made the decision to see each other before her dad, Mark Anderson, escorts her to the altar. Kelsey divulged, “I’ve heard such good things about it just saying how the first look was that moment between them and their partner, and it was very special.” She added, “And then they were also able to take pictures after, which was very convenient so that they could go straight to the reception after. Joey really loves that idea, and I’m definitely open to it.”
Whatever the couple ends up deciding, Anderson knows that the moment will be special. “Oh, I think he’s going to cry for sure, and I hope he cries, because I think that that’s always so special whenever there’s just a lot of emotions,” she admitted.
After The Bachelor lead’s DWTS win, they have decided on a somewhat extensive dance routine. So, Anderson will most likely opt for an outfit change before the reception, just so she can move her body. She stated, “I can have two different vibes, one that maybe is a little bit more elegant and big and floofy whenever I’m walking down the aisle, and then something just easier to dance in and have a good time whenever I’m at the reception.”
Another non-negotiable? Sentimental add-ons to include Kelsey’s late mom, Denise Anderson, and Joey’s late grandma, who has passed away.
“I would love to do something that incorporates both of them in our special day because I feel like both of them shaped who we are and they have a big role in our life of why we are where we are now and how we got to here,” Kelsey told PEOPLE. “I was thinking maybe that could be within the flowers or little details in the wedding that just makes them feel like they’re there with us and close to us through it all.”
