Zendaya & Tom Holland Are Engaged After Romantic Holiday Proposal at Her Home
Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged! Four years after the couple first confirmed their romance, the Spider-Man costars are set to tie the knot, according to TMZ.
Holland reportedly proposed to Zendaya at one of her family’s homes between Christmas and New Year’s Eve in an “intimate” setting.
Confirmation of the longtime lovers’ engagement came after Zendaya was spotted rocking a massive diamond ring on her left hand while attending the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 5. While she did not publicly confirm whether her new bling was an engagement ring, she was seen showing off the sparkler to other attendees in behind-the-scenes videos from the event.

Although Holland and Zendaya have been the subject of dating rumors since they first costarred in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, they did not confirm their relationship until July 2021 when they were photographed kissing inside a car. They have since been notoriously private about their romance, and Zendaya rode solo to the Golden Globes on Sunday.
In a recent interview with Men’s Health, Holland opened up about why he doesn’t attend his fiancée’s red carpet events. “Because it’s not my moment,” he explained. “It’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us.”
In 2021, the young stars revealed why they prefer to keep their relationship out of the public eye. “One of the downsides of fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore,” Holland told GQ. “And a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world.”
Zendaya added, “The equal sentiment [we share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things you wish were your own. I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other.”
The two reportedly haven’t started wedding planning just yet, as they’re both busy with upcoming projects. Zendaya is set to reprise her role as Rue in season 3 of Euphoria, while Holland recently confirmed that he’ll be returning for the next Spider-Man sequel. However, they will be starring together in Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey.
