‘General Hospital’ Star Steve Burton Engaged to Michelle Lundstrom
A wedding is on the horizon for General Hospital vet Steve Burton. The soap star, who plays the beloved Jason Morgan, has popped the question to girlfriend Michelle Lundstrom.
Burton and Lundstrom announced their engagement on social media on January 4 with a carousel of photos from the proposal, including the moment when Burton got down on one knee. The couple actually got engaged a day earlier on January 3.

“Engaged 1/3/25,” their caption began. They also included a verse from Jeremiah: “For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Many of the actor’s GH costars sent their love in the comments. Kimberly McCullough wrote, “Congratulations!” Rick Hearst said, “Steve and Michelle I wish you both a long, loving and fruitful life together! Congratulations.” Finola Hughes added, “Oh Steve!!!! Congratulations! I wish you both all the happiness in the future, you are a wonderful couple! Congratulations Michelle!”
Burton and Lundstrom began dating in 2024. He confirmed his new relationship in May 2024 to Daily Drama. The couple made their red carpet debut at the 2024 Daytime Emmys a month later.
At the start of 2025, Lundstrom reflected on her past year with Burton. “Some years you wish you could just fast forward & forget,” she began. “I’ve had a few of them for sure. Then one day you’re living life differently…welcoming big changes, feeling content & full of LOVE. I hope to remember the memories from this last year forevaaaa and for that I’m grateful.”
Lundstrom is a recipe creator best known for being a Netflix’s BBQ Showdown competitor. She was a contestant in Season 2 and came in third place.
This will be the second marriage for Burton. He was previously married to Sheree Burton for 23 years before their separation in 2022. “I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated,” he wrote on his Instagram Story at the time. “She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”
He filed for divorce in July 2022. Their divorce was finalized in 2023. They have three kids together.
