Fox News Hosts Sean Hannity & Ainsley Earhardt Get Engaged Over Christmas
A wedding is on the horizon for Fox News couple Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt. The Hannity host popped the question to Earhardt over Christmas at his home church in Florida.
Hannity and Earhardt have been dating long-distance for years, with Hannity in Florida and Earhardt in New York. “We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all of their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” the couple said in a statement to Fox News.
The 62-year-old conservative talk show host and Earhardt, 48, met with their minister after getting engaged.
Both Fox News hosts were married previously. Hannity was married to Jill Rhodes from 1993 to 2019. They have two children, Patrick and Merri. The Fox & Friends host was married twice before, first to Kevin McKinney and then to Will Proctor. Earhardt and Proctor have one child, Hayden, together.
They made a rare red carpet appearance together at FOX Nation’s 2024 Patriot Awards earlier this month. Hannity and Earhardt began dating after their divorces but kept their relationship private. They confirmed their relationship in 2023. The couple stressed that they “still get along well” with their former spouses and that “everyone is supportive of each other.” They added, “We actually made them aware this was happening ahead of time.”
The couple initially denied their relationship when news of their romance was first publicized. Back in 2020, a source told PEOPLE that Hannity and Earhardt were “together all the time, but in private … for years, not just months.” Earhardt even hosted Fox & Friends from a studio in the basement of Hannity’s Long Island mansion during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earhardt has been open in the past about wanting to find love again and have more kids after her divorce. “I would love to find love again and I want to demonstrate a loving relationship for Hayden one day,” she told PEOPLE in 2019. “But I’m not sure when that will be. I know that God will put the right man in my life if that’s his will and he’ll do it in his time.”
