It’s been a while since Jake Pavelka appeared on the small screen as the star of The Bachelor Season 14. Charming the women with his charming and jet-setting ways, the pilot quickly became a fan favorite (and later a villain). Alas, the series led to a somewhat version of fame, but his one true love didn’t walk through the Bachelor Mansion doors.

This January 2025 will mark 15 years since he searched for love. So, what has he done in the years past? Has he given his final rose away in the nearly two decades since his season? What happened to the Season 14 star? Scroll down below to read all about Pavelka’s life these days.

What does Jake Pavelka do today?

It appears that Pavelka is no longer flying full-time. He was an Atlantic Southeast Airlines pilot for 17 years, according to his LinkedIn.

After his stint on The Bachelor, he also tried to dance his way to the top on Dancing with the Stars and placed seventh. He’s tried his hand at other ventures, like being a guest star on The Bold and the Beautiful and as the CEO of RR Environmental Group. He’s currently the COO of The Destination Channel, a travel and leisure destination production firm. The 40-year-old lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Who did Jake choose on The Bachelor?

Pavelka proposed to his winner Vienna Girardi during The Bachelor Season 14 finale, and she accepted. Sadly, these two didn’t last long. Instead of preparing for marriage, they broke things off months later in June 2010.

In a shocking Bachelorette episode special, Pavelka and Girardi sat down for an interview to discuss their relationship. After Pavelka kept commenting on how Girardi was interrupting him, a tearful Girardi stormed off and said, “You are the biggest liar I’ve ever met in my life.”

Although Pavelka has remained mostly single, the same can’t be said for Girardi. She got engaged to Todd Allen in 2016, but their relationship didn’t last.

The next year, Girardi tragically lost her twin girls at 18 weeks. She nearly died after emergency surgery. She welcomed a son, Enzo, in 2021.

Is Jake dating anyone today?

Yes, he is. He is dating a woman named Amy, whom he met on Bumble.

Not expecting to enter a long-distance relationship, Jake realized he might have found “the one” minutes into their conversation.

The 46-year-old admitted to scrolling on the dating app platform right after a flight from his Dallas home base to Santa Barbara on the Almost Famous podcast in October 2024. “I said, ‘I’m not looking for a long-distance relationship,’ and she said something kind of fun, like, ‘Well, you couldn’t handle it anyway.'”

He continued, “I was like, ‘Oh, OK.’ This is probably the girl. She’s so wonderful.”

Pavelka didn’t open up about much more, which was a strategic decision considering he wanted to keep his relationship that developed in January private. He did say that they are “six years apart” in age, and she “did not watch” any of his Bachelor Nation seasons. He is not active much on social media, and he has not posted photos of her new girlfriend.
